I was at my first UofM game yesterday. The first half was great, but we definitely need to figure some things out. We didn't beat them yesterday... the clock did. If they had a few more drives at the end, I think they might have been able to pull off the upset Minnesota usually does about every 10 years. Ironically, yesterday is about the 10th anniversary since their last W. Hopefully we can keep getting better. Go Blue!
The problem is our second half is not working for us because the other teams are making adjustments at halftime when Michigan is not. Last year we were the second half team because our coaches then we're making all the right adjustments
Officiating needs to get much better. Apparently it's fine for a Minnesota o-lineman to rip off TJ Guy's helmet (see at 13:38) but Mason Graham gets flagged for hands to the face earlier in the game and it costs Michigan a possession.
College football has gone completely nuts now with conference-changing madness, and a totally different expanded playoff waiting at the end. I'm just watching more or less for fun now. I got what I wanted in January: A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, The first 15-0 PERFECT SEASON in Big Ten history, the only football program AT ANY LEVEL to compile 1000+ wins across their history, and sending Nick Saban (the greatest coach in college history) into Retirement with a world-class defense. And all of this accomplished with everyone else in the sport against us no less! Remember, a season on that high of a level, with those achievements, that persevered through so much adversity, will NEVER EVER happen again. The others recruit all they want, yet they've never had a season like that! I'm STILL on a high from January. Also guys, were still the NATIONAL CHAMPS until someone else gets their hands on that trophy in the future in this crazy world. Enjoy while we still have it, and NEVER FORGET that at the culmination of the 2023 season the business was FINISHED, and we were the unquestionable KINGS of the sport.

Harbaugh made his decision to leave very late which impacted our ability to recruit a QB, either from the portal or from HS. Give the coaching staff and players time to develop. Orji will never be a great passer, but maybe he can become average, and still move the chain with his feet. The team seems to be playing hard, with time, they will eliminate most mistakes. It is crazy how some fans want to can our coach at the first sight of struggle. We are 4-1, enjoy the ride.

This team will be OK and I think that Orji will improve dramatically over the year. In his defense, he probably should’ve been starting from game one and had more experience by this point in the season. Despite all that, if we don’t turn the ball over we can hang around a lot of the tough games we have coming up and pull out some wins like we did against USC.
I say Orjis coaches failed him. If he's supposed to be a QB, why wasn't he developed into one? Folks say he's athletic like Jalen Milroe. Well why aren't you working with him to be similar to that? I'd like to see him progressing but he looks as if he's not confident in his abilities 😕

So far every team makes the second half adjustments & Michigan has not made improvements. Besides the whole Texas game, where we were terrible all game, we have not improved in the second half! We think we can beat Ohio State, Oregon or Washington with not making the proper adjustments, Coach Moore has another thing coming. We barely held on to win against the 3 mediocre teams. We made a great drive to beat USC, but fell apart in the second half again, to only barely comeback to win a game we should have controlled from the first half. Another problem we are showing, is we can't break more than 30 points in a game! We have to have better offence & our defense is not getting or forcing enough turnovers. We have to dominate teams for 4 full quarters, like Ohio State to win! We cannot slack off for any time against any of the teams we have left & think we can just play conservatively to hold on. Cut throat mentality football for 4 straight dominating quaters Michigan! GO BLUE!

Coaching has been borderline terrible. I agree. The one thing they did do well was provide an environment of "stability" which enticed just about everyone to return. But since then, they've repeatedly dropped the ball...from misleading the public about the QB situation... to designing lifeless game plans...to playing the QB shuffle game in-season... to bad game management...... I'm entirely underwhelmed but they have time to put it together. 9-3 was always the EXPECTATION for me, and for most people, I believe. We're right on track for that, so the talent level is overcoming all the mistakes and bad coaching. Let's clean it all up and become a force. If we defeat Oregon or OSU it will have been a HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL season.
The hammer is coming down on this team as the season progresses. They are no longer in the cozy confines of home. Not having any real effective passing game at this point in the season will be their downfall going forward. This staff is terrible at creating space with receivers and running backs as receivers to help the quarterback. Simply terrible with scheme. No creativity is concerning. They are getting totally shut down offensively in the 2nd half of these games. The defense suffers from this lack of consistency with the offense.

He's stuck in the 70's and Sherrone is following suit. Why not play to the strength of the players instead of insisting on a ground and pound style when you don't have an elite O line? I'm grateful for the natty last year, but that was a boring ass offense.

They should’ve started Jadyn Davis from the beginning. Orji locks into his receivers and misses a lot of easy check downs and reads.
