If Trump tariffs Canada there would be a 25% increase in fuel prices in the US. And no the US cant just find alternative sources within the US. That would require rebuilding 25% of the refineries in the US which would have already been done if it made any sense. The companies that own those refineries will just pass the costs onto the consumer. Same thing with Potash. Maybe the US could find sources in the US but that would be a multi decade long project. None of this will affect Canada because for us to find new customers would take months. And no I'm not some never Trumper. This allowed our economy to be self sufficient and led to an industrial age boom. Allow American companies to to develop reliable and reasonably priced products here in the U.S. and quit sending money overseas to countries that want to weaken us.
