Great video! I rat in Golem's pretty much daily. I've been dropped enough times to know the best defense is a cap booster with cap 3200s. Ships that want to kill you will bring heavy neuts to kill your shield boosting ability and to kill you before help arrives from home defense fleets. If you don't have a cap booster you won't live, no matter how great the shield boosting is. As long as you can hold out for 2-3 min you can usually get backup arriving to make it a fight!
If you're docking to a citadel or similar non npc structure you may want a cloak as well. When you use the bastion you get an aggression timer not allowing you to dock, so when you run to station when a neut comes in, you have to sit on undock for up to 60 secs. That potentially allows the neut to point you not allowing you to dock or tether to the citadel and if they have friends, pop you just outside the station.
The issue with that is the slower lock time in response. If halving the targeting time is worth it, absolutely. It might be better than two neuts.
That fucks too much with your locktime. Prepare some saves and warp around until your timer expires.
No need at all. Instead of warping to base, warp to safe location 1, see combat probes, warp to location 2, 3 etc until 1 min pass. When aggression timer is over, dock up. EZ

Hello, mate! You have very interesting videos. Keep doing! I am not the best Eve player but I've been playing since 2009 so...here is my opinion. Golem is my favourite boat for ratting. First- you don't need Cap Batteries, Cap Recharges or whatsoever. The Golem is "build" with that - it have over 15% more Cap that Raven and 10% more that Caldari Navy Raven. Second-you don't need Shield Amplifier- you have Marauder bonus 7.5% per level shield boosting. Third - you need more Target Painters-that's means more dps for rats. The rigs -should be "cache partition" and "bay thrusters" - the idea is to send the torpedoes as far as you can. And yes- the Golem is a torpedoes boat, no cruise missiles. The NPC defence missiles doesn't affect torpedoes so you hit with full dps. The fit I use is - shield booster, MWD, two shield hardeners and 3 target painters. 4 BCU. 3 volleys for BS and one for cruisers. I have 3500 DP without implants. Just like to say keep making the vids 🙂. I've been playing this game on and off for years so I would equate myself to being a big noob with a basic understanding of how it all works but I've started jumping into abyss and have dreams of null space rather than hiding in hi sec with my duvet lol
Is this is a good move from the Gila? Obviously different skills entirely, what would be the best move from a Gila? Rattlesnake obvious but I've heard it's a bit underwhelming. A bit of time before I am there yet just not sure what to skill up as a fairly new player.
isk wise... remember that the ess is also existing ;) and the bounty modifier can also be a bit higher ... so i would assume its more like in the area between 150 and 200m per hour

An artillery Vargur warping in at 100 might be something to try.
On sisi just type "/moveme" in chat and you can pick a system - some null / hs / ls etc no need for filaments etc..
You cant fight a carrier spawn solo in a golem. I've tried!
With loot it will be more plus salvage :)
Can this thing kill a npc dreadnaught? because they do spawn sometimes in those anomolies.

best way kill npc dread is warp a pod in have pod snuggle the npc at 0, warp in with friends in kiki or smaller high dps low sig ships orbit at 500 and kill off non cap npc first then kill cap ab no mwd
you can salvage after an hour so that be easy 20mil+50mil in loot :)
Hey Ace, I see you flying the golem a lot these days, do you think it's better than the paladin? I'm trying to decide which one to train for, for missions and trig hunting.
Paladin is really nice too. Golem is a bit better for solo triglavian hunting, but you can do really well with sniping Paladin. I personally prefer paladin in missions because the time it takes for missiles to land on the target is wasted time, I feel like paladin overall does stuff a lot faster. Baiscally you cant go wrong with any of them. Id just go for which you like the most look of.

Get a super u can do havens around 5-8 mins. Aeon around 8. Hel is alot faster with its bonuses
