I get that Hutch has had more success than Travon Walker has had so far…but people need to stop acting like Walker is some kind of disappointing bust, I mean he’s got 18.5 sacks the past 30 games & never gets injured, that’s not bust or even disappointing production. It’s really not fair to him and if Detroit took him 2nd, they would feel pretty good about it right now…
Exactly, all folks do is stat watch to say who's better now. You could pick either of them in the draft and be fine. Only difference is Hutch has been put in a better situation with way better coaching. No one is succeeding in Jacksonville.
@@GodLikeMikeLive I think he is succeeding though and will get paid when the time comes. The media just doesn’t notice if he’s in Jacksonville & also loves the Detroit is finally good narrative
@ He’s playing well for sure but I meant succeeding as a potential HOF talent that everyone associates with top 5 picks. It’s hard to be great in a losing environment. Better coaching would propel him into that tier.
@ I guess…but consistently averaging 10 sacks a season is basically what defines a premier pass rusher in the NFL. It’s hard for me to argue he’s not moving in that direction despite starting slow in his rookie year. He’s also a year younger than hutch
I'm gonna put this here I actually think it would be great if the jaguars hire Ben Johnson as we saw what he was able to unlock in Jared Goff and I think him and Trevor Lawrence would work together really well. The jaguars definitely have the pieces on offense for to make something work and as long as he brings in the right DC I think the jags could do incredibly well next year compared to this year
Appreciate the recognition that we are truly less than 10 plays away from 3-4 more wins. That being said, because we’re not, I agree that even going 2-2 in our last 4 would not be ideal for the future. Personally I’d happily go 0-3 to beat the Texans in week 18 wearing the throwbacks. I’m interested to see what we do with Will this off-season, curious what the difference in seat warmth is with both Ran Carthon and Brian Callahan if they “fail” again next season with Will versus “failing” again with their second quarterback. Also you gauged the air around the Sneed situation perfectly…flashing that picture when closing the segment drove the point home more than any long explanation you could’ve given
Being less than 10 plays away from 3-4 more wins could apply to almost every team. The chiefs are 10 plays away from being a.500 team or worse. It doesn’t mean anything
@ It could definitely apply to some. Regardless, I’m not arguing against any of that… All I’m saying there is that I appreciate the recognition that the Titans are one of the teams that does apply to, because we are frequently talked about like we are a team that doesn’t have the ability or talent to win more than 3 games
@ I agree that they’re better than their record. I just think the “x amount of plays from x amount of wins/losses” just doesn’t hold any water in the nfl. Since most games are close enough for 2-3 plays to drastically change the outcome
As a Texans fan I got way too ahead of myself after last season. We have a lot of issues to fix with the defense, the O-Line, and just playing disciplined football in general.
@@bobbykingcaffeine5010 He’s improved a ton. If you watched the game and not just the box score, you would realize if he had weapons that don’t drop them his completion percentage would be a lot higher. The entire division is plagued by leadership with either zero or obsolete vision. Titans seem aimless, but that may just be because they are still digging themselves out of Robinson's disastrous tenure. Colts have an erratic owner and a GM who consistently fails to address needs. Jaguars have an apathetic owner, one of the worst GMs in football when it comes to roster construction, Doug Pederson's nepotism workshop and now have two mega deals around their neck. Houston is an anomaly to me. While I think Stroud has regressed and the OL is atrocious, the roster is largely very solid. Makes me think coaching, specifically on the offensive side of the ball needs to be addressed.
Great video as always, I agree with you. I’m pretty much all your takes with the AFC south. Even though I root for the Eagles. My hometown team the Colts play in the AFC south and to be quite frank every team in this division has some major problems. Starting off with the Colts I don’t know how Chris Ballard is not fired. He does not know how to construct the roster at all and he pays players that shouldn’t be paid in the first place if Anthony Richardson succeeded elsewhere you gonna know who is at fault. He doesn’t address the secondary or any major needs and it shows week in and out. The secondary needs improvement and what did he do jack shit. The colts need to find a new GM if they’re going to start winning at the top. For the Titans, I honestly am gonna trace everything back to the AJ Brown trade that has to be one of the worst trades of the 2020 decade for what treylon burks who played, I don’t know how many games less than 10. Ever since the AJ Brown train the Titans have just fallen off the rails from the Eagles in 2022 beat the shit out of them with their former wide receiver who is now enjoying the best seasons of his career. The Titans have done everything to fail levis. Firing Vrabel was one of the most questionable decisions I’ve ever seen you far the guy who was talking an AFC championship and some winning seasons because you’re far off is too incompetent to do what they know it’s right. If will Levis succeeded elsewhere the Titans have nothing to do but blame themselves for it. The jags I don’t know what the hell happened from 9-8 to another disaster season where does this team go from here? Both Peterson and Baalke should be fine after this. There’s no reason to keep them because baalke does not draft well outside of Lawrence, Walker and Junior not to mention not paying players that shouldn’t be paid in the first place. This team is not gonna win with their current situation at all. They’ll be a bottom swelling team for the next several years unless they clean house in general. Last of the Texans, I honestly thought they could possibly go to the AFC championship game considering what they did this entire season but it’s not what you do on paper that makes you win. I mean, honestly having a historic rookie season really will put you in a bad place in terms of expectations because now everyone’s gonna expect you to do the same thing over and over again, but this year has been pretty regressive for the Texans. I know injuries have been one of the biggest things I’ve hit them but they need to fix their own online if they’re gonna get anything done, but we’ll see how it goes for next year.
Did you not see Vrabel’s records after the Tannehill playoff choke? 7-10 and 6-11. It was time for him to go. People treat him as if this elite coach when he hasn’t won anything as HC. He got us stuck with Todd Downing, Craig Aukerman, and Keith Carter for years. Sure, Brian Callahan sucks right now and may never become a good head coach, but Vrabel just wasn’t that guy anymore.
The jaguars’ front office proves that one bad apple can ruin the whole bunch. Baalke, Pederson, and Taylor need to go but the owner, Shad Khan, is more concerned about growing the city of Jacksonville than winning football games
Disclaimer and sorry for the long text: I have been watching American football only since 2021, because this was the first season to be broadcasted in my country. There seemed to be no way to wake my interest into the sport here for obvious reasons - what we call football, you call soccer, it's seen as a colonist thing, it's hard to undetstand, etc. I somehow understood the game at once and the first game I ever watched actually was Panthers vs Cowboys in 2021. Only then I started to watch more steadily. I'm telling you this, so that you understand my comments may sound way too off in comparison to how you know things are done in America, I offer just an European, East European mind you, point of view. For the record, the reason I am a Packers fan roots from before I was exposed to the stuff and it's that my first fiancee - may she rest in Heaven - was from Madison, WI. She was a big Packers fan, so I felt I should honour her by at least supporting the same team. So, now to comment the video: The main reason the AFC South is this weak is because it has two abyssmal teams - Jags and Titans - a sleeping giant and a team that is pretty much in the shadow of the big shark in the sea. In an era when there are so many dynasties in the making in this conference and teams like the Chiefs, the Ravens and the Steelers setting the standards with the Bengals, Broncos and some others trying to follow, such teams don't have much pedigree. Someone has to invest in these teams if they ever want at all, especially the Colts. I also suppose the Jags should relocate and the Colts maybe change the division and then things will start working better for them. Otherwise, better management that does their job fully is gonna be key here. And with the teams in the North, West and East having bigger budget and being attractive... that doesn't speak well. I have hopes for Indy and Houston, but I think they should get money from more interested investors. Maybe from other sports as well since Indianapolis - as a town - is a big sports market. Someone has to take this city more seriously.

It's a compound word, which according to the rules of English grammar, is one word. Could've maybe found another word to use but it's technically a single word
Does anyone else sometimes mix up in their minds the Jaguars and Panthers? Both are Southern teams with cat mascots, both consistently make stupid personnel decisions, both have #1 overall draft pick qbs who've underwhelmed, both are owned by reactionary dudes who can't understand why they can't fix their teams' problems by just throwing money at them, both teams are probably years away from being consistently good, and so far away from being legitimate super bowl contenders that it's impossible to guess when that might happen--if it ever does. When I really need to remember which team is which I think about how it was the Jaguars who helped the Chargers to charger more than they'd ever chargered before in the playoffs a couple years back. So Jaguars playing the Chargers in the postseason means they must be the AFC team with the qb who looks like prince charming and a collie had a kid, and are the team who hired the gm that made 49ers suck for a decade, who's second big move in Jacksonville was hiring Urban Meyer to waste Prince Collie's rookie year; thus the Panthers are the NFC team who got fleeced by Chicago ("fleeced by Chicao" = pathetic) and mortgaged their future to move up and draft a qb who has to go on point like a ballerina to see as much of the field as he's ever going to be able to see, which isn't much, and who's owner seems to have learned everything he knows about hiring/firing coaches from Woody Johnson. And so after using the mnemonic device of the Chargers blowing a huge lead in the playoffs--one has to remember it was a playoff game, otherwise it could be confused with many, many other Chargers games--I can remember the difference between the Panthers and Jaguars.
The difference is the Panthers actually have a future. Bryce is playing a lot better now (although you wouldn't know that purely looking at his stats) and we've got a promising young offensive core to build on. They've lost to perennial playoff teams (Eagles, Chiefs, and Bucs) by a combined 12 points. Once we get the defense worked out we'll be even more competitive
4:17 I do not believe in Richardson. I think he will never be a good QB. He can run but that’s not a great thing when you can’t do average throws. The second he gets a twisted ankle he will be cap causality.
up till a few minutes ago I was still upset at jacksonville for embarrassing the chargers in the playoffs that year, but then again it helped us get Harbaugh so thanks Jacksonville I'm not upset now 😊 lol
Biggest problem for the Colts is Chris Ballard’s stubbornness to a failing team building philosophy that hasn’t won him anything in eight years. He should’ve been fired after 2022 and still won’t budge from his frugal approach to free agency outside of “his guys”. Ballard is a survivor, not a winner.
STROUD STROUD STROUD!! May the Gods bless us with an O-line because God we need it. Besides that I don’t know if I trust Bobby to continue developing Stroud his play calling has been average at best and he never makes adjustments when needed. CJ needs time to keep growing he’s still got a lot to work on but getting sacked less will help that.
Flacco is awful. Joel bitonio and wyatt teller really hid his abhorent mobility. Hes a statue that says "come sack me or jam the run game off the handoff"
Tired of hearing how the jags were gunna be good this year, anyone who actually watches football would know the coaching has been the problem the entire time
@Savataric i must be the only non delusional jags fan because I said 4-13 before the season started, people don't watch the jags so they say "oh they're talented" which is true, but that doesn't do shit when you have press taylor as an offensive coordinator and the worst defensive coaching staff in the league
@@kishisafish would the offense change if Doug pederson took over the playcalling or would’ve been the same because Doug should’ve took over playcalling as it was working in 2022
@Savataric i think it would be a bit better with doug calling the plays, his style of utilizing speed and explosive plays down the field with btj kirk and Davis, his mix of running from under the center with play action would definitely utilize the skills of the squad a lot better, even having engram as a te with his abilities they would use the threats they have
Why is it more scary than any previous year? Washed Tannehill, Rivers/Wentz, garbage Texan and Jax QBs. I guess you liked washed up QBs. Outside Manning no QB in this division has ever won a SB. What are you talking about?

Upload came in just in time for my lunch break 🤝🏾 Love your vids and your channel mate! 🙏🏽
Get Detroit's O-line with Penei Sewell, Frank Ragnow, Taylor Decker and Kevin Zeitler, and Stroud would look way better.
Titans will give Glock Purdy a nice contract
As long as they manage him well, AR will be the best qb in the division. He’s so clutch and probably one of the hardest workers in the league
Replace Will Levis with WHO?
An elite HOF talent like Kenny Pickett
@mantismafia9504 🤣🤣🤣
Vince Young
@@lonestartitan653 thanks for the SENSIBLE suggestion!🤦
@@derdakakos2207 apologies, my VINSANITY is uncontrollable at times.
They all suck Texans have a maybe shot to be good, but that’s it.
Flacco is awful. Joel bitonio and wyatt teller really hid his abhorent mobility. Hes a statue that says "come sack me or jam the run game off the handoff"
Mark my words, AFCS winner next season will have like 7 wins
Tired of hearing how the jags were gunna be good this year, anyone who actually watches football would know the coaching has been the problem the entire time
@@kishisafish I mean everyone thought the jags was going be good because the roster is not that bad with the players and all
@Savataric i must be the only non delusional jags fan because I said 4-13 before the season started, people don't watch the jags so they say "oh they're talented" which is true, but that doesn't do shit when you have press taylor as an offensive coordinator and the worst defensive coaching staff in the league
@@kishisafish would the offense change if Doug pederson took over the playcalling or would’ve been the same because Doug should’ve took over playcalling as it was working in 2022
@Savataric i think it would be a bit better with doug calling the plays, his style of utilizing speed and explosive plays down the field with btj kirk and Davis, his mix of running from under the center with play action would definitely utilize the skills of the squad a lot better, even having engram as a te with his abilities they would use the threats they have
@@kishisafish honestly why did Doug gave up playcalling he should’ve learn and saw what daboll did this year that he took playcalling back
Houston might finish 0-4😅

I just don't believe Richardson will be starter by 2027 I just don't see him as future QB for next 10 years there
why are both south divisions been so bad 💀
Why is it more scary than any previous year? Washed Tannehill, Rivers/Wentz, garbage Texan and Jax QBs. I guess you liked washed up QBs. Outside Manning no QB in this division has ever won a SB. What are you talking about?
Because these teams are all so mid. They all looked like they were going to be at least close to .500 but maybe two of them will get eight wins
@oscarhess1376 and each roster is not that bad it’s scary from the coaches and front office too
Overhating tbh
The afc south is consistently bad
@@hanschristopherson8056 with the nfc south too
