That's a good observation but most mats don't have that for the gas pedal because in times past the pedal has gotten jammed stuck on part of the mat so it's more of a security issue than an oversight
I have these in my 21 Camaro there’s a huge design flaw in the fact there’s next to no lip at the opposite end thus allowing water from snow melt off shoes rain etc to run directly onto carpet under seats. This eventually will cause problems. My best remedy is to put those mechanics absorbing pads tucked onset that “lip”. But I definitely wouldn’t buy them again as a result of that design flaw other than that they Would have been perfect. Next time I’ll spend more and get another brand
This is a great point! I didn't even think about that initially since it's really my summer car. That is a shame. I guess the fix is you don't let it build up enough to melt and completely roll back. I guess if it's snowing the Heat blowing at your feet will evaporate a lot of it. The lip could definitely be bigger
I did look at weather tech and a few other mats too and none of them seemed to have a bigger lip towards the back of the mats. Maybe it's a regulation thing. I'm not sure about that.
After almost a month using these mats, so far so good!
Also forgot to mention that there’s not enough coverage near gas pedal stones leaves rock salt etc collect there around that unprotected area.
