- Hobbywing has a nice ESC with simple programming, and a really shmick programming card. RC Jim goes through calibrating the throttle, programming with the card and with the throttle stick. He also shares the results of his testing of the timing options, as this ESC does not have an automatic one.

Hi Jim, thank you for your video. It is very useful to learn the programming on the ESC.
No worries, Tai. Glad you worked out what wasn't working with your new setup!
Great video I’m new to electronics and your instructions got me up and running thank you.
Great to hear! Enjoy your flying!
Jim thank you for this video, I was told I needed a programming cable and there were pins under the heat shrink on the esc to plug it in. I looked at my esc and did not find any pins to plug a programming cable into. And you showed just use the throttle cable coming from the esc and the proper sequence. 👍🏻👍🏻
Glad it helped
Thank you.
Happy to be a help!
👏👏👏
Thanks for the encouragement!
Thank for video. I am from Russia. My English it soo bad. But I am understand all 👌
That's great!
Hello Jim, from Wales in the UK
I've recently bought a Hobbywing 40amp Skywalker V2 esc - ubec and a Hobbywing Program Card P/N 30501003. It's somewhat different to the one in your video and comes with a few labels to relabel the front depending on the brand of ESC and the application. My problem is the instructions for the Card don't cover the Skywalker range of ESC's, so I'm uncertain which label to use. Can you help?
Hi Colin, while the Hobbywing LED Program Card doesn't say that it will work with the Skywalker ESC, in the Skywalker instructions it does refer to using the LED Program Card. If you don't have those instructions, see www.hobbywing.com/en/uploads/file/20230321/69381b562c41439ee4451c7152905f10.pdf You will need to use the "aircraft" label on the Program Card. Note the requirement to plug in the ESC to the Program Card first, then power up the ESC. Also, the ESC needs to be turned off and on after changing parameters on the Program Card. Let me know how you go with that.
Jim
Thanks Jim for taking the time to reply. The problem is that none of the labels supplied are specific to a model aircraft application. One is for a car, another is for a boat and the other two are for a flyfun V5 and a Platinum V1/V2 respectively. I've been in contact with Hobbywing directly in the last few days, so hopefully I get some sense out of them. For the moment, they seem to be saying that the Skywalker series of ESC's are new and the instructions for the program box haven't been updated.
Gibt es sowas auch in deutsch
Ich würde denken, dass sie Programmierkarten mit deutschen Etiketten herstellen würden. Erkundigen Sie sich bei einem deutschen Hobbyfachgeschäft.
