to me they both sound like D5; i would’ve anticipated a bit more rasp if she hit that first F5 but sometimes Mariah’s nodules make her high chest clearer one second and raspy the next (maybe try slowing the video down and compare the note to a piano)
I don't really think the "first F5" is an F5 tbh. I honestly think it was either the positioning of the camera capturing the audio and how far away they were from Mariah and her mic. This type of thing happens a lot at shows because of different brands of phones capturing different frequencies and overtones at events such as shows. Hope that made sense
Agreed. Other than angles, I'm pretty much hearing the same thing in both clips. Even tried with headphones. I do hear a little more treble in the first clip; thus, maybe that D5 is being mistaken as an F5. Now that I've listened to that 40 times I'm off to my next video. :D
