Mr isn't wrong. In the theatrical, Red nods off at breakfast and they think he's died, leading to a joke about Red being 'the first kid to fall asleep at the sleepover'.
Well right and wrong since he didn't think there was a diner scene at all. Was also in the DVD version as well
The fact that Red must have untied himself from the chair, put on Bone Thugs n Harmony "Tha Crossroads," then went into the restroom to die is one the funniest parts of the movie, if only cause they never draw attention to it.
I literally had tears in my eyes watching that for the first time😂 was not expecting this movie to be that funny and I was baked asf
And made himself a bowl of noodles lmao
One of the funniest parts to me is when Red runs over Craig Robinson and then shoots the front of his foot off 😂 the first time I saw that I died
Red's head smashing into the sink will always make me die laughing
And before that when he bounces the ball and says he's trying to get a scholarship

The funny part of this movie is that their stoner paranoia was basically always right.

I think the joke is that that's a weird myth, the water cleans the smoke but it's never not addictive. Also, you only see him smoke joints
Bongs are actually one of the most addictive ways to smoke weed, you get addicted to that hit that a joint just won't give you. So in my mind that joke is showing his pure stoner stupidity 🤷

It's not addictive and the bong doesn't make it more or less addictive. If you get addicted It's because you enjoy it and don't have the strongest self control.

Actually seeing the woman laugh, I'm sorry I don't know her name, but seeing her laugh so much is very happy to see. I don't see her react very strongly in these videos and it's refreshing. She has a great smile and her laugh is contagious.
I do remember the scene where McBride seems to die at the diner, then it’s a false alarm-and I first saw the movie on a streaming service, not in the theater.

i remember watching this in highschool with my stoner buddies and thought it was one of the funniest shit of all time. and of course we went in there stoned lol now im watching this video wonder where did all those years go
As a cinema buff - when they talked about kicking out the window (thinking back to ALL of the movies when they do just that in the microseconds while watching the film) only for his foot to get literally stuck in the windshield mid chase...god damn did I get a real good laugh out of that. Like the kind of laugh you only get a few times a year. I normally dont go right for these kind of comedies but this one does have its moments and overall is a solid comedy. This and Superbad are a great date night/few drinks/joints combo for a fun evening! Same thing for Eurotrip and Roadtrip (substitute one of these with rat race) make for another great beverage/edible night ;)

omg eurotrip, I remember being 14 with the boys and Kyle somehow got his hands on a plastic water bottle full of (almost certainly watered down) vodka and we all drank for the first time and watched that movie and more or less pretended to each other we were obliterated when we probably had like a shot each
I remember some beefy american gladiator type dudes at a sex dungeon or something
Fun fact: Apparently the character Saul is loosely based on Brad Pitt's stoner roommate Floyd in the movie "True Romance" A definite must watch, for you guys cause...😉

Great reaction. Huge Danny McBride fan, he’s the best in everything he’s in. Vice Principles is one of my favorite shows.. wish more people reacted to that show, but no one does. Like the mix between action and comedy.

Anything by McBride, Ben Best, Jodi Hill is Excellent they went to film School together. Don't forget "The Foot Fist Way" no one ever mentions it.

Danny McBride rules, one of the best in comedy for awhile now. I will say tho he definitely wasn’t the best in tropic thunder but he’s definitely a standout in most things
This film changes genres halfway through, from stoner comedy to crime action.

7:50 It's not about air-flow or hit-quality with "three ends lit" in a cross-joint, it's about having different strains of bud rolled in each cross-section of the joint therefore getting a menagerie of flavors and bud-quality. That's the _point_ at least however would you get a larger hit with the same amount of initial pull? Yes.
Sort of like when I toaster oven all my used THC vape carts, and get a mass of super concentrated THC goop that's a hundred different distillates half indica, half sativa, and 100% potential to fuck you up when you vape it

I remember Seth Rogan said this was either the cheapest action movie ever made or most expensive pot movie ever made at the time it was released.
Novelty joints like the 'cross joint' are for teenagers and people who don't use marijuana on a regular basis.
They are a PITA to roll/smoke.
People who don't smoke on a regular basis because it's 'novelty' and teenagers enjoy it because they are so young and impressionable - mimicking what they see on TV.

There was something really special about comedy movies made in the 2000's
My favorite scene is when he forgets dale in the cop car, the camera pans over and hes 100m dash world record.

I saw this movie on my first date in High school. I was 18 and in High school he was 25 so kind of like Seth and ambers characters.
Grandma’s boy is another great stoner movie.

Came out when I was in high school. My friends and I got really high and got lost on the way to the theater. We missed the first 10 minutes lol. Once it came out on DVD it was all we would play while hanging out. We could recite all the lines
14:01 we've done that IRL. we were high as a kite, going thru a back trail that leads to a skatepark. it was very dark but luckily the moon was full and we're still smoking blunts. then out of nowhere, we heard some rustling in the bushes.
freaked us out, i held my skateboard up like i was about to hit whatever is in there, then everything was quiet.
we just stood there silent for like a second or two when one of my buddies just all of a sudden looked to one side all startled and shit, i mean you can see it in his face. then he just goes "OH SHIT!" then takes off running! hahaha so we ended up tucking tail and run away too

I just noticed the car that Rosie Perez hits at the end of the chase is actually DALE'S Cadillac!!! I must've seen this movie 20 times and I've never noticed. Now that's BRILLIANT, Dale hit her car, and later in the movie, Dale is (inadvertently), the reason she crashes her car.
Because of this movie, me and my best friend still call each other BFFF’s 😂
I remember watching this movie in theaters with my brothers and cousin and on the way back home we hit something on the road and we were stuck in the middle of the road with cars passing by with no phones and finally got someone to call up a tow truck and it was going to be a lot of money towing the car back so we called my dad and he came with his truck and trailer and we hauled the car back home that way. I'll never forget that night.
I postponed showering to watch this premiere. Totally worth it.

Also..originally Seth was the drug dealer and Franco was the process server. But during the reading of the script...they had them switch and it worked out bett er. The movie wouldn't have been as good of they had the original casting. So the decision was good.

The cross-spliff would work (if engineered properly) since you'll be smoking more at once, but the same effect can be achieved by just rolling a bigger spliff rendering the whole thing pointless.

This was the first of a string of goofy comedies by director David Gordon Green, who normally would do indie dramas that were often set in the south. His next hits would be the new "Halloween" movies.
The hardest part about a cross joint is. The smaller side joints have to be big enough to not roast to fast and burn two holes into the side of the bigger joint. But… they can’t be too big either or they will fall off if the bigger joint burns down to fast. Not to mention they take a long time to roll and create. By the time you roll one cross joint you could have like a dozen joints 😂. Only smoke if it’s legal in your area as well might I add! Keep it legal!
