Thanks Pachabel ! It’s such an amazing place, I try and get there once a year. Make sure you track down The Mooring for a bite to eat, that is my go-to!
Great footage and editing! It's nice to see the island from a drone's vantage point and see how beautiful it is. I can't wait to see it in person in a couple weeks! Thanks for sharing this.
We did go for 2 weeks back in 2016 and I loved it there! It's really laid back and relaxing and the locals are very friendly. With it being an island, certain things are pricey, like meat, or hard to find, but that's to be expected when everything is shipped in. We stayed on the west side of the island in a little house on the beach, which was pretty cool. Don't expect many super luxurious hotels there as they are all owned by locals or small companies, but there are still some really nice places to stay. You're usually out looking around the island or relaxing on the beach anyways, If you like really quiet places that aren't very touristy yet, it's a great place to visit.
wow, awesome video. im inspired. this is greatfilm also what you did whit the music wow great job amazing footage with the inspire 1 x5 now i would not change my inspire 1 to a s1000 i will stay with the inspire 1
Hi guys! We really love this video, you have amazing shots of this beautiful island! 😍 We are currently working on a small music documentary about the traditional music of Rarotonga and I was wondering if you might allow us to include some of your drone shots? to set the scene for such a wonderful place, we will include your channel in the credits in the video and the description of course :) Please let us know it would be awesome!
Great video! We are heading to Raro in a couple of months. I have a Phantom 3 Pro, is there anything I need to be aware of when flying here? Also, is there any issue taking it on the plane?
+Matthew Scott Hi Matt, no problems with flying with it - will have to be taken as carry on and the batteries are under the watt/hour limit so no worries there. I've traveled a bit with the inspire and it seems just luck of the draw as to who you have to talk to at the airport, some of them know the laws and it's no trouble and others don't know anything and it turns into a bit of a drama. Best allow extra time for this. When you get to Raro go and talk to the guys in the tower, you won't be able to fly near the airport for obvious reasons but they are fair and easy to deal with. Cheers!
wow are you serious?? OMFG i just ordered the X5 thinking thats what you used XD LMAO!! fuck it it still a great buy and good bang for the buck!! thank you for the reply my friend!! and keep up the great work!!
Awesome video. Will bring my Inspire 1 to Rarotonga and Aitutaki during 4 weeks in Dec&Jan. What software did you use to cut and compile your film? ps. You have a new subscriber
How absolutely heartbreaking to hear that 3mins of a strangers vacation were so rudely interrupted by someone daring to capture theirs! You should make a formal complaint to the minister of foreign affairs! Call 60 Minutes!
@@arghone May be a surprise to you, but these drones are an annoyance and not something to behold, as most voyeurs don't realize a loud buzzing object taking video of people on vacation is only your satisfaction - not ours. (don't call yourself a pilot either)
How vain of you to assume they were filming you and not the amazing scenery that Rarotonga has to offer. I'll throw my PPL in the bin if you say so....
Why the choppy editing and constant speeding up and slowing down? The place is gorgeous and would've been much better served by slow, real-time footage. Why this constant need for speed? You're there to relax, surely, to slow down and take things easy for a change. Sorry, not for me. I can get that from my local big city.
Amazing video! You should share it on www.dronetheworld.com, our new site for global drone footage. You are invited to be one of the first on our fast growing site. You´ll love it.
This is actually one of my favorite videos on youtube. Not kidding!
Thanks! Such an awesome place, can't wait to get back there. Hard to believe this was 6 years ago now

This was produced quite excellent.
Great video! Thanks for sharing. I'll be there in September!
Outstanding video! You should charge the Cook Island government for promoting their island so well.
I love the effects you used in combination with the music, sick video!

Amazing video man, where on the island is 0.42 seconds ?
Nice job on the video! What program do you edit with?
I’ve been her let’s month and it is YES
did you colour grade this at all?
"did you colour grade this at all?": By my Hawaiian eye, not by much, if any at all. Especially Aitutaki, OK, Atiu and Avarua Town too.
Last time I was on Muri Beach, I got buzzed by a drone twice. This is the LAST thing i want on a peaceful vacation!
