Did you know that healing frequencies of singing bowls, voice and shamanic drum rhythms can stimulate and strengthen the vagus nervous system?
Manny people who experience physical and emotional health challenges such as chronic fatigue, depression, irritable bowel syndrome, insomnia, high blood pressure will have their sympathetic nervous system under conditions of stress.
When we play the shamanic drum as a meditative tool to help ease stress and anxiety, our mind and body can begin to recharge the battery, help us clear the mind to focus on important things such as personal wellness and joy.
In this video I share with you a simple rhythm to play on the shamanic drum to help regulate and ease the nervous system. And how sound and a steady drum rhythm at 80 beats per minute can positively affect our mind, body and spirit - the vagus nerve.
We will apply this medicine drum rhythm with my new shamanic healing drums music called Shamanic Drum Journey which I recorded in my home studio in Melbourne (Australia) with a beautiful collection of singing bowls, voice, chakra chimes, harp and of course shamanic drum.

I've had extreme insomnia for most of my life, often being awake for 3 days or more at a time. Being in a relaxed state is a rather alien feeling to me but the only way I can achieve it naturally is with one of my drums (i've been making them since my late teen years - I'm now 45) your meditation was blissfully relaxing. Thank you for sharing your beautiful gift with us. I'll certainly be listening to it often. X

Oh hunny, that's awful. I'm so sorry. I've always had trouble sleeping so I know how bad it can get, but it has never been as bad as being unable to sleep for three days. That's REAL insomnia. Holy cow.

I was gifted a drum Sunday. I didn’t know I could play it. Yesterday I played and loved it. Today I searched for a how to-Its exactly what I was playing yesterday. Love it! What healing sounds.

I have been tapering off prescription meds that I have been using for decades to treat my depression. I had a restless night of sweating and brain zaps with an underlying anxiousness. I have been reading and listening about shamanic drumming but cannot afford workshops and I was trying on my own. I finally found an affordable drum yesterday. This morning I played along in this video and I felt so much better! It did not remove the zaps and nausea but it removed the anxious feeling in my chest and the feelings of "this will never end ". Thank you so much for putting this out. My heart and mind thank you

Just try and relax your hands if you don't use a striker...there is a great free video by Miranda Rondeau where she describes the 4 different strokes she learned from Layne Redmond who wrote a great book ; " When the drummers were women " about the history of frame drums 🥁 / drumming & 🥁 ⭕ s over the past 7,000 years ...
Re meds....they are difficult , my ex has had many problems with seraquil , it has messed up her sleep really badly and is highly addictive , & affects dream recall &
so many other things....
Drink lots of plain water & consider intermittent fasting ....
So, music is life... Our hearts been playing this internal beat that keeps our streams in our veins flow❤❤

All I'm doing is rubbing one of my fingers over the drum - hope that helps.
