I love how people say they feel empowered from a song about dealing with one's obsessions in pursuit of happiness. Be it alcohol, drugs or anything else that makes one "feel" happy. We're all chasing happiness' echo, one way or the other. The sound is energetic, but the lyrics are anything but.
Thank you so much RED for creating music again and again. It means the world. I have been listening to you guys for over 7 years and your songs are dear to me. Please, if you guys ever think of disbanding or not making music anymore, just remember me and how happy I am when you release these flawless pieces :)
This is still Red. Amazing songs with a different twist. I love this album. One of their best and quickly one of my favorites. This is unique in its own right. It is still Red. Thanks for taking the risk and revealing new layers, depth and texture to your music. I can only imagine this style and strings on future album's. Wow.
I have listened to red when I was feeling down in the underworld at 11 yrs old and I done escaped from to 'feed the machine" to "falling skies" and came out of my cynical depression for red has saved my "shadow and soul". Red shall live for eternity in my soul! RED FOR ALL LIVES!
I've seen a lot of people compare this album to Vessels, and although they are quite similar, Gone still feels like Red. In comparison to Vessels which was very much a space themed album, Gone still holds a specific `Red-ness` if you will. The brass and strings still hold a more classical orchestral sound then Starset's more movie soundtrack use. Not to mention Michael Barnes' vocal style and Anthony's AreYouSureYoureTheOnlyGuitaristInTheBand?-Style of playing keeps them still individualized from other bands in this new *Cinematic Rock* era. In all, Red has found a place in this new modern style of rock, and i really hope to see some new bands that can really make this a genre all it's own.
I thought I wasn't liking the whole "Gone" album, but this song changed my mind. This makes me think of an alternate timeline for the RED story- what if they were caught by the Machine, instead of escaping? We did relive the nightmare in "Beauty and Rage". I like where this is going. Raw, sinister, and blunt.
i think this is their 2nd best cd after rhw first one think its better than until we have faces too i think its been growing on me i had it over week now
Step Inside the Violence is better than Still Alive in my opinion. Or maybe that's just because I played Still Alive hundreds of times before the album was released. Lol.
I think they have 3. Same disease (just bad), Hymn for the missing remix (which is a remix so that doesn't count), Unstoppable (which isn't even their song it's a cover)
@@seanathonhooper Yeah tbh. Hymn for the Missing shouldn’t been a remix. That song is supposed to be an emotional song not like a dubstep club song. Same Disease need more improvement. Unstoppable is decent not my favorite from this album. I rather listen to Fracture or Coming Apart
Unknown Echo This is still RED. They like experimenting. There's nothing wrong with that. The same album over and over again would get annoying after a while. Its good to have some different material in there
Unknown Echo honestly, there were only a few songs that didn't sounds like classic Red, the rest were actually pretty good and reminded me of there own stuff
I truly believe starset started a cinematic genre of music. That others are starting to take parts from. Which is great in every way. Its such a great vibe
HQBacon I personally think STARSΞT deserves a lot of praise. They basically built a genre from the ground up and have inspired many other bands. I do agree that while red has been here longer they didn’t always do the cinematic kind of music you hear in this album
They kind of did do the cinematic kind of music you hear in this album. I suppose it depends on your definition of "cinematic" but any of their initial albums were full of dramatic and cinematic numbers. I always felt Starset was like Red and Falling Up had a child. They deserve credit for producing quality art, but they didn't build a genre from the ground up. They stepped into a genre that was already being built. One may argue they achieved a more mainstream level of success with it, and that is commendable and will likely held SPREAD the genre. But many bands were doing this thing (Red included) for nearly a decade before Starset. Again, "cinematic" isn't exactly a concrete definition but I think anything from End of Silence or Innocence and Instinct qualifies. Not to mention bands like the aforementioned Falling Up who essentially embodied "cinematic rock" to a level even beyond Starset.

RED... RED... RED... RED... red...red...red... Their sound and style will echo forever in our heads and souls!!!!

I think the song is more inspired by the relationship between the main characters in Til' We Have Faces by C.S. Lewis
@@legoboy1225 It’s funny, since that’s one of their albums-
Most underrated track on the album. This and Fracture.
This is that underrated track like buried beneath.
This track is my favorite from Gone and Buried Beneath is my favorite from Until We Have Faces, which is also my favorite RED album.
Internet high five! That track and Lie to Me are pure gold.
@@ebev91 Same here
Instantly fell in love with the guitar rift, tid bits of this song sort of remind me of their other song shadows.
Why is no one talking about the last twenty seconds of the song? Legendary
Love the ending 😍
I guess we both think the same thing
This song truly is amazing. With all those messages and meanings
Thank you so much RED for creating music again and again. It means the world. I have been listening to you guys for over 7 years and your songs are dear to me. RED never cease to amaze me! Literally every song they make is perfect in its own way! 💯
Where in the world has this been hiding?? I absolutely love everything about this one.. ROCK ON
I don't recall there ever being a song of theirs I didn't like. Every one is good! Keep it up!

Alpha Static there a Christian band
I am aware, and what does this have to do with my comment?
My bad the way I read it it seemed like you were speaking of something like some other type of music
Nah this was just my mad ravings at 2:00am after hearing the album
Ok cool ps I don't won't it to seem like I have a problem with them I'm Christian
This song is just.. incredible! Its GORGEOUS
OBSESSION!!!!!!
OBSESSION!!!!!!
The first letters of every word in the first verse spell “I can not let you go my love”
Aaron Willhite damn beat me to it haha
Aaron Willhite Now that is absolutely genius.
Omg that's the secret msg?
epidemicfire07 Yep it is
Dude, that is sick!
If you read the first letter of every word in the first verse it says " I cannot let you go my love"
Taran Schmitt that's amazing
Taran Schmitt wow
This album is pure gold.
Congrats, very helpful with life struggles.
I'm chasing red's new songs noww!!
I really feel like they need to make a video for this song! Wayyy too cinematic and epic to not have a video made for it! Who's with me?!
I got an idea for that. When your crazy girlfriend is holding you prisoner for herself
Your poetic style is always a delight to hear
This song is scary good. 😳
I love this new album!

This is the RED I Know......The style
this song is the best like End of silence or Until we have faces. please RED come back to the classic RED style. Love you.
By far their best album I absolutely love it 9/10

2nd part of this really good, overall one of the best tracks on this album
nick supreme I agree
i think this is their 2nd best cd after rhw first one think its better than until we have faces too i think its been growing on me i had it over week now
These Lyrics look like they're the encore of "Lost". Sounds Great
I came here because I saw walterrific having your song on his phone and well I might just stay here. I like it :D
great song 🎸
Back here again ❤❤❤❤
Does anyone else get faceless vibes and gave it all way mixed with also something new at the sametime in this piticular album?
Best track of the album with Still Alive
Step Inside the Violence is better than Still Alive in my opinion. Or maybe that's just because I played Still Alive hundreds of times before the album was released. Lol.
Fracture
Losing Control, Chasing Your Echo, Singularity are probably the three best (and Unstoppable and Gone are the by far worst)
i just wish step inside had a chorus. It feels incomplete to me
Fracture for me. Along with Losing Control and Chasing Your Echo
added to our playlist
We need more songs like this today instead of Despacito and that type of crap.
@@fadeintothevoid8250 😏😏
😂😂 you think that's bad you haven't heard Nigerian music
Zane Brooks, I agree with you, I'm not keen on songs that are made today, I prefer music has more of a meaning.
Agreed 😂🤣
red is great. god bless
They just can't make a bad song.
I think they have 3. Same disease (just bad), Hymn for the missing remix (which is a remix so that doesn't count), Unstoppable (which isn't even their song it's a cover)

AMAZING!!!!!!!!! thats all i can say!
I love ittttttt
Why did this album get so much hate? I really liked it.
THAT RIFF THO
Now that I think about it, this song sounds like Breathe Into Me to a certain extent
Unos genios
Brilliant
Best song on the new record. Please go back to classic Red, please

if you ignore tracks 4-6 this is very much classic Red, just with some Starset influences. Those three tracks though...
Unknown Echo I miss classic RED
Stop comparing Red to Starset both great, and each got it's own vibe
@Mauricio both great bands
UM MUSICÃO DESSES
2018 and this music is best!!
Does this sound like Confession (what's inside my head), the similarities are present?💭
A little. Not by much though.
Wow
Sometimes love is obsession

I truly believe starset started a cinematic genre of music. That others are starting to take parts from. Which is great in every way. Its such a great vibe
Cailon Delano if anything, Red started the trend thanks to Rob Graves.
Red was doing this before Starset.
People need to stop giving so much credit to Starset. jeez louise.

i like this song but i think i hear a part in some another song :/
what do you mean?
Only one here who knows there a Christian band
