There are many nice elements to this story. But that rushed or glossed over during the structuring process vibe is very evident. Places like how a being sent on an important (Or at least substantial) diplomatic mission would be sent without a basic info packet on local foods, drinks, flora and fauna that may or may not be consumable or dangerous, basic useful supplies (Coffee for instance) and other important equipment. Also....Why would she bring up needing proof of the conspiracy when proof is how she found out about it (Trying not to put spoilers in this)? Why would the conspirators be "On guard" if they never noticed they weren't a secret?

I'd say it was good if not for the fact that you started, and then completely abandoned the motive of interstellar war. That's not something that can or should be forgiven when rating the story.
So yeah, at best I can call it mediocre.
That was amazing! The third act is beautiful and unique. Definitely worth listening to.

my friend you have outdone yourself. Absolutely wonderful tale of awkward cross cultural budding romance. Not too deep into political coups or interstellar wars, just a dash and a sprinkling here and there. Ending in the joyous laughter of happy children. Well done!

@@Sci-Fantasy I noticed the same thing, but I liked that you focused on the couple and not the war. (Maybe a short paragraph to show his ability to help stop the war before it started with just the right placement of a warship ... maybe not). Seriously, one of the best sci-fi stories I've heard on YT.
