A way i like to explain the hijab to non-Muslims is to relate the feeling of wanting to wear the hijab to things they may feel. for example, when little girls in other cultures see the people older than them wearing make up, heels, traditional clothing, going clubbing and other activities they see how much fun they have and want to be like the adults around them and so that's exactly what they do and it makes them feels good. the hijab is the same thing for a lot of us, we see everyone around us wearing it and we learn about the symbolism behind it so we want to wear it too for all the right reasons the same thing goes for Muslim kids wanting to take part in Ramadan. We do these things because we want to and to feel good, protected and closer to our God. Of course this isn't always the case 100% of the time for every Muslim girl but that isn't a true representation of Islam, it only represents the people who forced them to wear the hijab.

A way i like to explain the hijab to non-Muslims is to relate the feeling of wanting to wear the hijab to things they may feel. for example, when little girls in other cultures see the people older than them wearing make up, heels, traditional clothing, going clubbing and other activities they see how much fun they have and want to be like the adults around them and so that's exactly what they do and it makes them feels good. the hijab is the same thing for a lot of us, we see everyone around us wearing it and we learn about the symbolism behind it so we want to wear it too for all the right reasons the same thing goes for Muslim kids wanting to take part in Ramadan. We do these things because we want to and to feel good, protected and closer to our God. Of course this isn't always the case 100% of the time for every Muslim girl but that isn't a true representation of Islam, it only represents the people who forced them to wear the hijab.
