Aah...such a great information. 4 yrs back I visited Jambukeshwar temple in chennai and wanted to know history behind the temple and today I could hear it from Sree Iyer sir, thanks.
Out of these Shiva temples you mentioned here, I've been to Ekambareshwara temple and Rameswaram. I have longed to go to Annamalayar, Sri Kalahasti and Kedarnath.
Nice to know Sreeji is from proper Kancheepuram. Ekambareshwara temple was my favorite in Kancheepuram, although I did happen to visit few other temples there. It was one of the kind architectural marvel that I'd been to ❤❤❤ and to be honest when my spiritual journey began ...invoked by the beautiful Kamakshi Devi and the intriguing Sri Varadaraja Perumal and the books of Shlokas from the Sri Ramakrishna Math. That was the first time I was introduced to the book of Thirukural too. Quite a reminiscent journey ☺️🥰 and thank you for this video 🙏

Ravana possesses 10 bad qualities from which he got MUKTHI on the day of his death in the hands of Sri Rama, therefore the festival of DASHA HARA, destruction of 10 qualities. By the way, ANAN also means face. Each of Ravana's head/face represents each of these qualities. What are those ten qualities? Here is the list:

2.Krodha (Anger)
3.Moha (Attachment)

The huge stone boulder from where it came nobody knows blocked the entire force of water pounding on the temple walls. I was watching the whole scenario and was weeping for fear of the temple but lo nothing happened Bholenaath protected the place for our generation and coming generations. Har Har Mahadeva🙏🙏🙏

What a wonder these monuments, which none could see ever around the world. What a wonderful intellect, whose imaginations and perfect architectural designs are all beyond no other persons either present or persons being lived in the future. No adjectives one could describe its marhematical secrets by which its all planned. I stop writing, because I am none or its magical existence of these monuments since for the last four thousand years till this day.
India was and is a miraculous country, where plenty of such architural monuments, and incredible crafts etc., seen all over India. Our cultural treasures still are most superior comparing to any countries of the world for which we can be proud of it, and praises to our forefathers, who contributed all these treasures.

Thank you Sir, for the details, i think this longtitude used to be the Time measuring standard depending on the sun rays/ moon rays/ planet rays falling on the linga..eg when light from a particular planet reaches that particular linga then it lights up, this dsnt happen now because the earth has tilted on its axis,and alignment to planets has changed,thats how egyptian pyramids,sphinx etcc and so many ancient structures the world over are not activated,except the temples in india are still active because the devata worship has not stopped here,people still have Faith Shraddha Preeti Bhakti etc in the Devatas, which keeps the devatas grounded and the mind benefits from it, it becomes prasanna. Where the devatas are active there the mind becomes prasanna. But if we still visit the places where moorty is not there,still the presence will be there,moorty is for us to identify which devata manifests where,sometimes in linga deha form,,sometimes in moorty form. Either way its Shiva not the godhead but beneficent, good,etc. We have to visit temples regularly for aura cleansing,especially kuladevata,for that reason,the energy calms the mind and stops it from getting too involved in samsara because at the time of death it becomes difficult for soul to withdraw from body.

It looks like a straight line. All those Shiva Lingas are placed Vertically all the way from the North to the South. Talking about the Lord, there’s a Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in Talakadu, Karnataka. Talakadu was the ancient Capital of the Ganga Dynasty which existed around 300 A.D. Their Dynasty continued till the rule of the Chalukyas. They became their Vassals. The Vaidyeshwara Temple there was built by the Cholan Kings around 1100 A.D. That's one of the Temples I visited. Other Temples are older than that. It's located right next to the Cauvery River.
Kadhirkamam ( Murugan's abode) in SriLanka is also almost on the same Aksha Rekha.
The small shifting happened due to tectonic plate movements after those temples were built.
There was a debate between Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva on who was Supreme, and Lord Shiva showed up in the form an Eternal Beam of Light and asked Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu to measure it and find it’s source.

In a video (in Malayalam) on Ravana the late Swami Nirmalananda Giri explains that the 10 heads signified exactly what Mr. Iyer was pointing to in this video, namely that Ravana was a towering intellectual in several disciplines of the time. If a modern day cartoonist or graphic artist has to depict someone not just as one who intellectually towers above his contemporaries, but also needs to depict the breadth of knowledge in various disciplines, the artist would probably choose to draw a multiple-headed person.
Also, as per the Swami's explanation, the statement in the Ramayana that cutting off one of Ravana's heads would produce another in its place was the Rishi's way of saying that one could not defeat Ravana in intellectual argument... if you destroyed an assertion of his, he could come back with another to establish his case. Sadly (for me) the video did not go further to explain what was the significance of the navel being the weak point of Ravana.
