Holy shait Daniel that is so awesome. We got to see you spend 700+ dollar semi live. But the key takeaway from this is that you only need to spend this once and every subsequent artwork only costs you the minting and URI update gas. That really made erc1155 sink in for me. Thank you!!!

There is an explanation that mint tokens, do not come out on RinkebyEtherscan (later visible on RinkebyOpensea). While on RopstenEtherscan doing the same operation they come out as in the tutorial and then on RopsteRirable?

Thank you for the great tutorial! A question, when setting your uri can you choose a different ID and string than the one you minted? So the the 25 tokens you've created will each display a distinct image other than the one you minted?

I’ve been following your tutorials for quite a long time. Thanks for the great content you produce.
I have a question if you are able to take your time and help me with an answer will greatly appreciate it.
I have 1 NFT collection. 1 layer has 3 elements on the design (Race, Power and Symbol). I exported them under 1 single PNG because they need to have the same color.
When I am generating the images with your code, the metadata on this trait will be like:
Race, Power and Symbols:
X race with Y power and Z symbol
I would like to separate the metadata of them to become like:
Race: X
Power: Y
Symbol: Z
While I cannot do it when I am exporting the layers from Photoshop, because I need them to be linked together, is there a way to do it from code? Without manually editing 10k metadatas?
I was thinking to a way to update the metadata to separate them into 3 new attributes and extract from the text the info, but I do not possess the coding knowledge.
Let me know if this is a thing that you can do

Please consider to use the additional functionality of ERC1155 in future videos. For example creating an ERC20 token within the same contract. For the example you provided an ERC721 contract would have been sufficient.

When you list your items as 23 unit. People can not buy 1 unit at a time. Is there a way to list all of my items and people can buy 1 unit at a time. Thank you!

@@Dani-yk8sj have not tried this yet, my arts are still rendering (Feb 2022) and it turns out you can use a dapp on this contract like any other ones out there, however, I plan to use this in the future but erc721 for the very first project on eth network.

question, with the burn for mint function it seems that the owner of the NFT contract can burn peoples tokens without their permision as long as it gives a new token in return. why is this function implimented in this way, does anyone know?
Can someone help me understand why it's so expensive to mint the initial contract, compared to the mint cost to add to the contract? Just in general, why is the initial mint price so high? That's my main question.

Hey man, a lot of people in the discord are struggling with the metaplex and candy machine parts of the "Creating a Solana NFT collection" because the video is outdated and the docs have changed quite a bit since the video upload. Specifically, I am struggling with an issue where when I create the candy machine, it says uploaded 2000/2000, Successful = True, but the key size says zero. When I go to mint, it says there are 0 remaining. Any way you can make a follow up video to show how to do it with the new docs? Thanks for your help, I wouldn't be where I am without you!

now technically.. if you exchange a erc20 token for exactly the same anount of erc20 token.. you will lose due to gas fees on the blockchain so the interchangeableness is debatable

Let's say that I want to create a collection of 100 items (UNIQUE items like BAYC) and I would like to have this 100 items collection split into 2 categories like this: 75 items randomly generated and 25 items manually customized (all of these 100 items would be in the same collection). Is this ERC1155 option the best one? And dou you have any tip or opinion to suggest? Best regards!
add 25 item to 75 generated item, then in json you add manually metadata file one by one.

@@italimarco@ Marco Bucci it has more flexibility for nft system development and if we limit nft quantity to just 1 quantity it is like erc721, but erc721A is cheaper than erc721 and erc1055. I'm still trying to compare on goerly

That would be great , a good selling strategy to build urgency, would be epic🔥🔥🔥
You can use the update price function in the contract for that purpose. Set the price at zero when deployed then change the price after the free mint. Hashlips also has a video on how to make a dynamic mint price.
@@Ellis9144 is there not a specific function that can automatise the process? say 1000 have been minted for free and after that 1001 to the last number would cost 0.1 without me having to interact with the contract and without having a pause in the mint between free and paid

Am I correct in thinking that deploying this one contract cost about $650? Also how would one scale this for “10,000 nft” projects with individualized attributes, or is there another way that would work?
I think on the discord people were saying its around 800-3000 usd depending on when you deploy. If you join the server and search terms like "deploy contract cost", you might see others post history on the topic as well (800 was a number i kept seeing but this was on erc721)

@@heidimacomber859 no its not. I can help in any way. I use Macro recorder it comes with a 45 day free trial. I converted my metadata file to an excel file online, and uploaded it with the macro recorder. If you try it once you'll get a hang of it.
download macro recorder.
open the opensea website by entering the link in the web page opening action.
and then start recording the uploading process slowly and carefully.
after you're done, bulk edit the delay action to 30 or 40 ms.
wherever there could be a delay for internet connection increase the delay action to extra seconds.
I can send you the sample of my macro file if it could help. I have a lot of properties so it is quite big.
