I spent a lot of time in Sougia in the early 1980's,including Christmas '80 and '81.Lived in rooms,caves and on the beach under the whispering Tamarisk trees.Many memories of beautiful times with good people.A part of my heart will forever be in Sougia.
Hello everyone. I was in Sougia the whole summer 1988 and worked there as a waiter with 'Maria' bar just near the beach. I was called 'Christo from Polonia'. Well, I recognize Yanis, Jorgos, Kosmataki, who had a figth with my friend 'ANDREA', and one guy from France, I can't remember his name. It's nice to have a look with kind of nostalgia. It would be nice to see more of such vidoes!
We are in Sougia now sat in the Lotos bar watching this. We can see the Lotos Bar with the elevated roof on the right hand corner! It is amazing to see NO restaurants or umbrellas along the beach! The Pelican mini market is now a bakery/patisserie and is now on the corner across the road where the people sat!
Το 1989 το καλοκαίρι θυμάμαι στη παραλία της σούγιας μια σπασμένη σωλήνα που ήταν αυτοσχέδιο ντούς και όλοι γυμνοί ή με μαγιό με τα σαπούνια στα χέρια ......θυμήθηκα και το παιδί με το μίνι μάρκετ που τον είδα.....φοβερά χρόνια !!!
Danke für das Hochladen des Videos. Kenne Sougia erst aus späterer Zeit ( 1997 ). Bei 8.42m scheint es sich um den späteren Inhaber des Supermarktes gegenüber zu handeln ? Weiss das jemand ? Kennt jemand noch Russel aus der Raki Bar ? Gruss Alex
Ja,es handelt sich um den Inhaber des späteren Mini Markets links neben der Eisdiele/Bäckerei hingezogen und heute der MiniMarkt vor Ort.Wahr in den 80zigern überwiegend in Palleochora und später bis heute 2024 in Sougia. Die ersten Reisen gingen nach Ende der faschistischen Junta in etwa 1977 mit unserem VW/Bus nach Saloniki usw.war ne tolle Zeit.Sougia hat sich gut gehalten und ich war kürzlich dort einige Wochen.Pension Paradiso direkt am ausgetrockneten Flussbett...die Pension dort wurde lange von Sophia und Willi geführt,jetzt ist ihre Tochter Vula dort die Cheffin.Lohnt sich dort Diakopes zu machen. Ja,er ist möglichweise an zuviel RAKI usw.verstorben...sagten mir die Leute vom Paradiso/Pension..das ja fast am Polifomos grenzt!Ich war im Mai dort und reise ab mitte Oktober wieder hin..die Temperaturen ab ende Mai gingen bis auf 37 Grad hoch und mit Wandern ist es für einen älter gewordenen jermanos auch nicht einfacher geworden..bei dieser Hitze.
