@@royalwins2030 That is the approved method, stick in the premises till it works mostly, then fly out. When you no longer can see the tail lights of the truck is when the warranty runs out.
I had my own Backflow Valve business for many years. If the upper disc in the PVB Backflow Assembly that you had at that house is bad (torn or distorted or debris stopping the disc from seating) it will make a thumping noise as the water passes through that valve. I still hear the thumping in the video and you may still need to replace that disc inside the upper section of the Backflow Valve. Good video Steve.
I’ve got a Febco 765-1 on my system and it has made the same noise since new. I assumed it was just the normal sound of the poppet assembly but now you’ve got me wondering... it’s annoying as heck.
Do you not use the pipe slice 1/2inch 3/4inch and 1inch pipe slice rather than the big one you use. Here in the uk we only realy use pipe slice 8mm 10mm 15mm 22mm and 28mm and we also use pipe slice for waste pipe 1-1/4inch and 1-1/2..
someone probably forgot to deburr the pipe after cutting and it's creating turbulent flow OR the city pressure is high and the regulator is chattering before it gives up the ghost.
I find it better to solder a valve in the open position to relieve pressure. the left side of the pipe and the drop down the elbows can build pressure and blow out solder joint. Also I've seen a toilet be flushed before while sprinkler system is on and the filling of the toilet fill valve can cause a hammering throughout the entire system. Check to see if flushing a certain toilet while system is running causes problem. The problem is a hammering/vibration noise. Means a bad toilet fill valve. Also check the shutoff valve washer at toilet too. I also remove the restrictor inside the fillvalve.

@@KSMike1, You can try replacing the poppet and see if the noise goes away. Not expensive to try.
