That's a great boat ride! It's actually not that expensive to get your own boat comparing to the boat ride I had in Can Tho along the floating market and to one restaurant and back. I think it was 400K per person and we had 6 in our group.
I didn't get to see much of phong nha myself. Spent 3 days in bed with food poisoning. I went to Tam coc though to make up for it, lovely place! Was just nice being in the National Park area in hong nha. You have to try the Indian Restaurant there, amazing!
