Seems these will be a great hearing aid for those with dexterity issues who still want an in the ear hearing aid. Great info, thanks for sharing your knowledge Emma & Fred for sharing his thoughts too!
You're welcome! Yes, perfect timing for Fred to walk into my clinic, thank you for introducing this into the market..we will keep you informed on his progress and hope to make another video soon focusing on all the amazing, unique features you guys have in the new platform (and with the recent updates too!)
Thank you for your video! It has helped me decide that I do want to get custom hearing aids! I made an appointment with an Audiologist for Tomorrow! You're video was very helpful! I just subscribed to your channel :)
Hi JDT, We're based in Australia, and the Picasso isn't available to us here (only to the US market, I believe). Starkey do have very powerful ITE options; depending on your hearing loss, it may be suitable, but you have more powerful options available in BTE styles. As always, best to check with your audiologist.
Im 31 and nearly completely deaf in left ear and have serious tinitus this Livio seems like a good idea for me as it also works with my company iPhone and in-ear because i wear a helmet all day.
It is worth a try. Your ear canal size with determine how small they make it and you'd have to test it with the helmet to make sure the pressure doesn/t make it uncomfortable.
Bernafon is known for their channel-free processing which they introduced in 2002 and still use. They also introduced DECS technology with Zerena, which focuses on natural and clear sound. However, an IIC wouldn't be recommended for a severe to profound loss - due to it's discreet size, it's not as powerful as other hearing aid styles, so it's more suited for up to a moderate or moderately-severe loss, depending of the shape of the hearing loss as well, of course.
Good video :) even though these devices are too weak for me, I still like to follow something like this because I like technology and news about it. I have a question for you. Widex Moment is like the successor to the Evoke series. Evoke came out in 2018 and Moment this year, and it contains the latest improvements and new chip making technologies, etc. I have severe hearing loss, at first I thought I could have a RIC version of the strongest Widex Moment, I put my audiogram on Facebook and some people in the profession Audiologists say that it would be best for me to have a BTE version of the device. Why didn't Widex release Moment in the BTE version? I was very interested in Evoke and of course Moment because it is the latest and improved. Do they plan to release it for sale? It’s not urgent, but it’s all still in my head, planning when the time comes. Thank you in advance for your response.
Hi Markic, thanks so much for your support! All the manufacturers seem to have a tendency to release one family at a time. They will often start with the RICs first as they are the best-selling in most countries. We should see the Moment BTE released early next year, all going well.
Hi Melinda, I can't think of any reason that they wouldn't be suitable for such a case. These are definitely larger than the Silk but a lot of clients are choosing the black colour, they look very much like bluetooth headsets! :)

I bought a pair and was really disappointed. I have an Android phone and connectivity was horrible. I sent them back within the trial period. I did go to a very good audiologist and we confirmed they were not working properly. Tech support for Starkey was horrible. All they could come up with was turn your phone on and off. Really soured me on that brand.
Sorry to hear you've had a bad experience. Starkey Livio Edge AI is only compatible for direct streaming with limited Android Smartphones at this stage. Hope you've found something else that works well for you!
@@ValueHearing thanks very much for your response. My phone is one that was supposed to be compatible. I really think most of these manufacturers still don't have the bugs worked out relative to Android. Maybe the new Google Bluetooth version will be better? It came out with the Android 10 update.
Have dispensed several pairs now, all technology levels. They are proving very successful.
That is great to hear!!! Keep us updated on your progress :)

Absolutely!! Fred was not going to accept any other alternative :)
@@ValueHearing don't blame him I wouldn't either 🤣 those are some advanced hearing aids wonder how he's enjoying them😁
Thanks very much for the review, Emma! We're really glad that Livio Edge AI was such a good option for Fred.

Awesome perspective on these type of hearing aids :)
91? He looks younger than that!
Thank you!! And yes, he certainly does not look (or act!) like his age :)
I dont see a review about Starkey Picasso, anyways, are the Picasso ITE hearing aids suitable for severe to profound hearing loss?

@@ValueHearing thanks for the reply! I'm just so tired of using BTE because of my athletic lifestyle. They move so much while I jump or run.
Would this work with moderate to sloping severe loss? A🌹For you.
Hi J Rock, they definitely could work for you, we have had success with such hearing losses and this model in our own clinics.
@@ValueHearing What about the Phonak Virto Black? Would you say the same for them? Any information would be helpful.

Is bernafon a good hearing aid brand ???? Does zerena iic series good for severe to profound hearing loss???
