The saddest thing about this video is not only Tzuyu crying but the chef that cooked the dish trying to hold back his tears when he sees her crying. Such nice people.
So many events had occurred from debuting, getting bullied by some old man, getting the best rookie award to 1st win in music show and she never even cry once but now she's crying because she miss her mother :'( This just proves that Tzuyu is just a strong little girl and haters that kept on bullying her is just sick because I didn't see any reason to hate her

@@HIRIT08 부모님이 대륙사람인건 맞는데 한국에 있는 화교는 대만 국적으로 처리해서 그런것도 있고 화교들 본인이 당시 가난했고 공산국가였던 중국과는 엮이기 싫어했던 것도 있어요. 어찌됐든 중화민국, 즉 대만 국적으로 인생의 상당기간을 산 사람이라서 부모가 본토사람이고 본인은 한국에서 태어나 자랐어도 대만에 대한 유대감도 없진 않을겁니다. 게다가 대만 국적이었을 때 대만 대사관에서 오랜기간 셰프로 있으면서 대만인으로서의 정체성도 많이 확립했었을거고요. 그리고 어렸을 때 화교학교 다닌 걸로 아는데 화교학교는 대만소속입니다. 즉 자신과 같은 다른 대만 국적 친구들이랑 대만 정부의 공교육 시스템 아래에서 공부했기 때문에 오히려 중국인 정체성 보다는 대만인 정체성이 크다고 보면 됩니다. 애초에 중국은 80년대까지 한국에서 방문하는게 불가능했기 때문에 성인이 될때까지 중국은 가본적도 없다고 했어요.
대만의 인구는 국공내전에 패하여 들어온 장개석파 중국 국민당 본토인들과 본래 대만에 살고 있는 토착민 크게 두부류라고 보면 된다... 중국 본토인이라도 대만 국적인 경우가 많았다고 이연복 선생 부모님들은 50 ~ 60 년대에 대한민국으로 들어왔고 이때 박정희 시대는 중공과 전혀 교류가 없었고 본토인이라도 중국 공산당이 싫어 탈출한 친 국민당 본토인이라고 보면된다.... 90년대 중공과 수교이전 한국에 살았던 화교들은 일단 본토인이라도 모두 친대만계 중국인라고 보면 된다..... 그리고 화교들은 한국 중국 수교이후 2~3세대를 거쳐서 많이 대한민국으로 귀화하였다...
at first i thought chaeyoung was the makanae not tzuyu cos whenever i see tzuyu she is always so strong and mature and i have never seen her cry. so to see her reduced to tears because she was reminded of her mum made me sob because even for me being 19 going 20 i still miss my mum and family but i only live a couple hours drive from her while she is 17? and in a completely different country with a very busy work schedule so i am in awe of her strength keep fighting tzuyu!

Seeing Tzuyu cry is so heartbreaking because we are so used to her being elegant and graceful, always smiling and laughing. TZUYU went Korea on her own at the age of 13! The 3-year training period in JYPE was a real hard time, the staff would scold at her if they found out TZUYU speaking her mother language...... not to mention the tight school plus training schedule.....😢
우리가 해외에서 혼자, 살아본 사람이 많지 않기에.. 그것도 어린나이에 외국에서 혼자 생활해야 했다면 말로 표현 할 수 없을정도로 외롭고 힘들겠죠. 저 당시엔 지금보다 어렸던 10대이기도 하고, 힘든 일도 겪었기 때문에 자연스레 가족 생각이 나고 눈물이 날 수 밖에 없을 것 같아요. 트와이스 팬도 아니고, 쯔위를 평소에 좋아하는것도 아니지만 행복하게 한국에서 생활하고 코로나가 빨리 끝나서 보고싶은 가족도 자유롭게 보고 행복했으면 싶네요.

Tzuyu is such a sweetheart. When I didn’t know about Twice, I saw some comments saying she’s a rich snob who’s only pretty and has no talents. Reading those comments, I was so curious as to who she really was. So the first video I ever watched of her was “Evil Maknae Tzuyu”. I laughed so hard when she annoyed her members, and overall she just seemed like a naturally cute and fun girl. Curse those comments that said lies about her. She went through so much. In America, she would be considered a junior in high school! So young but away from her parents to work hard for her dream. I admire her so much. Twice fighting!

@jane she was 16-17 about that time.... in Taiwan Pre-school Pre-school in Taiwan is not mandatory and caters for children all the way up to age 7 when compulsory schooling begins.... That's way some people can have 20 year old and still in high school...
When Tzuyu received a lot of hate from China. She didn't cry in public. After that incident, she went to the Idol Star Olympic. She showed her bright face while her members stay by her side. Still she didn't cry in public. During Golden Disk Award, Tzuyu was about to give her thank you speech, the crowd cheers for her. She didn't cry. Even JYP show his love and care for her and the members during the incident. When Twice won their first music show, she still didn't cry. Lastly, to think about it again, Tzuyu is still young and far away from her family. Yet, she is strong and bright. This breaks my heart. I hope JYP manage to give a long break for the foreign members so they can enjoy their time with their family. Remember when JYP surprisingly invite Jackson's parents during Christmas....

watched the full show, actually the host said the similar stuff a couple minutes before this clip, tzuyu was able to control her feelings then, but finally lost it during this clip. i've also learned that the chef that gave her words of comfort also came from Taiwan.
I'm not sure if that's really the case about the chef coming from Taiwan. I am Taiwanese and speak fluent Mandarin. The chef that spoke the Chinese had a heavy Korean accent, so I'm assuming he is a Korean chef who is skilled in Taiwanese cooking.
What Damai said. The Senior Chef was very affected and he tried to encouraged her to the effect: "Tzuyu is doing well in Korea, don't worry/be so stressed". He meant well, to encourage her. But he is clearly not Taiwanese.
He said it by himself for multiple times already that he's Taiwanese. I don't find any reason to deny it? He's being considered as the best Chinese restaurant chef in Korea and u guys can feel proud about how people from Taiwan is being successful in different country. He just lived in Korea ever since he was very young so his Mandarin could be not perfect but he is Taiwanese. Korean people love both him and Tzuyu.

@@HIRIT08 부모님이 대륙사람인건 맞는데 한국에 있는 화교는 대만 국적으로 처리해서 그런것도 있고 화교들 본인이 당시 가난했고 공산국가였던 중국과는 엮이기 싫어했던 것도 있어요. 어찌됐든 중화민국, 즉 대만 국적으로 인생의 상당기간을 산 사람이라서 부모가 본토사람이고 본인은 한국에서 태어나 자랐어도 대만에 대한 유대감도 없진 않을겁니다. 게다가 대만 국적이었을 때 대만 대사관에서 오랜기간 셰프로 있으면서 대만인으로서의 정체성도 많이 확립했었을거고요. 그리고 어렸을 때 화교학교 다닌 걸로 아는데 화교학교는 대만소속입니다. 즉 자신과 같은 다른 대만 국적 친구들이랑 대만 정부의 공교육 시스템 아래에서 공부했기 때문에 오히려 중국인 정체성 보다는 대만인 정체성이 크다고 보면 됩니다. 애초에 중국은 80년대까지 한국에서 방문하는게 불가능했기 때문에 성인이 될때까지 중국은 가본적도 없다고 했어요.

대만의 인구는 국공내전에 패하여 들어온 장개석파 중국 국민당 본토인들과 본래 대만에 살고 있는 토착민 크게 두부류라고 보면 된다... 중국 본토인이라도 대만 국적인 경우가 많았다고 이연복 선생 부모님들은 50 ~ 60 년대에 대한민국으로 들어왔고 이때 박정희 시대는 중공과 전혀 교류가 없었고 본토인이라도 중국 공산당이 싫어 탈출한 친 국민당 본토인이라고 보면된다.... 90년대 중공과 수교이전 한국에 살았던 화교들은 일단 본토인이라도 모두 친대만계 중국인라고 보면 된다..... 그리고 화교들은 한국 중국 수교이후 2~3세대를 거쳐서 많이 대한민국으로 귀화하였다...

at first i thought chaeyoung was the makanae not tzuyu cos whenever i see tzuyu she is always so strong and mature and i have never seen her cry. so to see her reduced to tears because she was reminded of her mum made me sob because even for me being 19 going 20 i still miss my mum and family but i only live a couple hours drive from her while she is 17? and in a completely different country with a very busy work schedule so i am in awe of her strength keep fighting tzuyu!

Seeing Tzuyu cry is so heartbreaking because we are so used to her being elegant and graceful, always smiling and laughing. As someone who is a Tzuyu bias and also close to their mom, I know the feels. I started to cry when she did and I just wanted to give her the biggest hug in the world. I don't think I've ever cared so much about a international popstar.

우리가 해외에서 혼자, 살아본 사람이 많지 않기에.. 그것도 어린나이에 외국에서 혼자 생활해야 했다면 말로 표현 할 수 없을정도로 외롭고 힘들겠죠.
저 당시엔 지금보다 어렸던 10대이기도 하고, 힘든 일도 겪었기 때문에 자연스레 가족 생각이 나고 눈물이 날 수 밖에 없을 것 같아요.
트와이스 팬도 아니고, 쯔위를 평소에 좋아하는것도 아니지만 행복하게 한국에서 생활하고 코로나가 빨리 끝나서 보고싶은 가족도 자유롭게 보고 행복했으면 싶네요.

Reading those comments, I was so curious as to who she really was. So the first video I ever watched of her was “Evil Maknae Tzuyu”. I laughed so hard when she annoyed her members, and overall she just seemed like a naturally cute and fun girl. Curse those comments that said lies about her. She went through so much. In America, she would be considered a junior in high school! So young but away from her parents to work hard for her dream. I admire her so much. Twice fighting!

First time I saw Tzuyu cried, I cried with her! Fighting princess Tzuyu! We love you!
She was trying to be strong, even doing little hand movements showing that she’s fine but it’s ok Tzuyu, let it all out. It’s normal to feel homesick especially when your away from the ppl you love
watched the full show, actually the host said the similar stuff a couple minutes before this clip, tzuyu was able to control her feelings then, but finally lost it during this clip. i've also learned that the chef that gave her words of comfort also came from Taiwan.
I'm not sure if that's really the case about the chef coming from Taiwan. I am Taiwanese and speak fluent Mandarin. The chef that spoke the Chinese had a heavy Korean accent, so I'm assuming he is a Korean chef who is skilled in Taiwanese cooking.
He is Korean but when he is young, he worked in Chinese restaurant for a long2 time. He is master in Chinese food.

What Damai said. The Senior Chef was very affected and he tried to encouraged her to the effect: "Tzuyu is doing well in Korea, don't worry/be so stressed". He meant well, to encourage her. But he is clearly not Taiwanese.

He said it by himself for multiple times already that he's Taiwanese. I don't find any reason to deny it? He's being considered as the best Chinese restaurant chef in Korea and u guys can feel proud about how people from Taiwan is being successful in different country. He just lived in Korea ever since he was very young so his Mandarin could be not perfect but he is Taiwanese. Korean people love both him and Tzuyu.

“TZUYU doesn’t have any emotions” Care to explain as to why she cried for her mother? I’m sure she kept strong and always tried not to cry because the TZUYU I know isn’t emotionless she’s a girl who always wants the best for her family, her members, and us ONCE because she doesn’t wanna see people worrying for her, but I know deep down that she’s a very emotional person. I still don’t know why to this day she gets hate, like just leave the poor girl alone ever since she was a teenager she has gotten so much hate. Did you really expect her to ignore the fact that y’all be hating on her like nothing? Do you need someone to tell you that we’re all humans and especially TZUYU and that we have feelings? We have hearts that can love and hurt someone. So why can’t we just respect the fact that if she doesn’t wanna cry on camera doesn’t mean it’s giving us chances to hate on her for that.

@@bidelotha9953 she held her taiwan flag on a korean show so chinese hate her for this because they have political issues as taiwan os republic of china or something so they put an anger on her can u beleive that raising your hometown flag caused you hate and she was 15 that time imagine that all china hate u back then and jyp forced her to appology for what for holding her hometown flag, which casts gave her so sad what happend to her she was terrify and hold her tears when she read that appology you can find it on jyp channel you will be shocked that is why she became less talking and less confident back then she was really confident
But i'm happy now that she forget it or maybe forget it
