    If you put a little fan on that black bracket inside (oriented as an intake in the same spot as the vent on the side panel) then the GPU temps will go down a good amount. Ask me how I know. I got this exact same Victus from Walmart open box for $168, basically brand new. I installed more RAM and an RX 6600 XT and a side intake and it is a great PC!

  • @aaronterry51

    Looks like the RAM you used uses XMP 2 and uses 1.35 volts. I'd double check that your motherboard supports that. I bought a 15L Victus around 12 months ago and tried upgrading my RAM, but ran into issues with the BIOS locking down XMP, so I couldn't get the full 3200Mhz speed promised. Instead you may need to search for a 1.2 volt ram instead.

      I have found the same thing when I have tried to play with the DRAM in those HP pre-builts. They usually default back to the base speed (2133 or 2400). In mine I had to buy RAM with a JEDEC of 3200 instead of XMP set there.

    you can put a 60 mm fan on the cage for some in take air to help cool it down by 9 degrees or more which i know isnt a lot but it still helps you just need a sata to 3/4 pin adapter or a fan splitter for the out take fan's pin forgot to mention its also possible to upgrade the power supply to a 500 watt one which is what im doing to a hp office pc that i put a new cpu and ram in and gave it a bigger boot drive and 1tb hdd for storage

    Hey Toasty Bros ! Great video as always, but you still do the same mistake that I will take a pleasure to tell you about it :
    Please don't use DX11 in Fortnite with GPUs that support DX12 ! DX12 is much more optimised than before, and even more than DX11. TSR is also a VERY intensive upscaler. So for the viewers, you can consider this is theoretically the lowest amount of FPS you'll get in Fortnite at Medium settings with a lot of stutters because of DX11.
    I've been having way above 190 fps at Medium setting on DX12 with native 1080p with basically the same PC, CPU is just Ryzen 5 5600X.

    I love how they're now posting these videos and accompanying links after the deal/item has already sold out. With them now doing a form of pay to win on their twitch channels for the giveaways, they're starting to do some scummy practices. But they always let you know you can buy the pc on their website for a scammy overpriced markup.

    I doubt that system supports XMP/DOCP. so you would need to stick with JEDEC RAM for an OEM system like that otherwise the RAM would only use its base JEDEC value which is likely 2666 and AMD systems heavily rely on fast RAM. Also a 5600G and RX 6400 is an absolutely terrible combo as the RX 6400 is only x4 PCIe and the APU is only 3.0 PCIe which makes the GPU starved for bandwidth.

      Not worth it unless you can get one really cheap for parts. The case, motherboard, and PSU are only compatible with the Pavilion/Victus lineup. The RAM is JEDEC, and the NVMe is likely Gen 3 (fine for a PC).

      I really have some dumb questions because I haven't built a computer in some time, since 2019 TBH. My current computer is fine in games like ATS but I want to play a certain game now I tried it but it's not great in that game, it's okay, and it works but not so great in that title, so I'm looking to up my single core performance. Currently, I have an i7 9700 4.7 Ghz 8 core and the RTX 3060ti, and my memory speed is only 2666 it works for most games still and I have a 1tb XPG NVMe SSD, but would this NVMe be compatible with a 12th or 13th gen motherboard, even as maybe a secondary storage? That's one of my questions and the other is, will I need to replace my PCIe Gen 3 riser cable if I go 13 gen intel? The reason I ask is I have a vertically mounted GPU and my case has a Lian Li vertical mount in it. I think I heard I need to replace the cable, but I'm not 100% certain. @@abbuabbas2472

      Hey $209.99 I got the Ryzen 5 7600X Used, I kept l; looking at it thinking this is less than $100 more than this 5600g new, I mean I'm not rich lately, so I got kind of a budget Gigabyte UD B650 Motherboard and that's fine, I don't overclock anything but the ram with XMP. This thing should smoke that 9th Gen i7 9700 in single core performance at 5.3 GHz Max Turbo and I got 32 GB TeamGroup 6000 MT/s ram, no more 2666! I think the board is Gen 4 PCIe support so I'm gonna need to swape out my PCIe riser cable because it's Gen 3, so I need a new cable or I could just do away with the vertical GPU mount. If you view my channel you can see the Computer I'm upgrading I have a very short video of the inside of thos getto looking old PC I'm upgrading. 🤣 @@abbuabbas2472

    • @CargoPantsLuvr
      @CargoPantsLuvr ปีที่แล้ว +1

      60mm, 82mm or 90mm. Depends on the size of your PSU and GPU. If I remember correctly there is 2 mounts for fans on the side panel.

    • @piecingtogethergamingpcs
      @piecingtogethergamingpcs ปีที่แล้ว

      Hay man thanks answering that, it's good information that you might actully be able to cool this thing, I thought I saw some fan holes there. IDE cooling actully makes a desent slim 92 MM ARGB fan, if you wanted RGB fans you could use a hub and control it with a reset switch of the case and of course there is the Noctua NF-A9x14 PWM 92 MM for raw cooling performance. The one in the back of this Victus appiers to be the same old 92 MM HP always had, but I mean how much can you really tell from a video. My 4th gen HP pavillion I had some years ago had that same 92 MM rear fan, and no intake ventiation at all, that's why I case swapped that damm hot box and added the i7 4790 and 1060 6gb single fan card, but you can't do that with these. That HP had a memphis 2 uATX motherboard, so it fit a standard ATX case, I believe it was the last gen HP ever sold before they started doing weird proprietary shit! 🤣

    • @CargoPantsLuvr
      @CargoPantsLuvr ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@piecingtogethergamingpcs Yeah, there are some good AIO's that support 90mm fans that you can use to sometimes get up to a 20 degree improvement in cooling for the CPU.

    • @CargoPantsLuvr
      @CargoPantsLuvr ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@piecingtogethergamingpcs I probably should have mentioned this. I don't know if the problem is isolated to me or not. I haven't seen anyone having this issue, though it's still a possibility.
      The 6+2 pin power connectors that are plugged into the GPU out of the box, 500W PSU, could potentially cause minor GPU artifacting during dual CPU-GPU intensive tasks (alt+tab, xBox gamebar, etc). The solution I found was by unplugging it and using the other 6+2 pin connector.
