I definitely loved some of what you said this episode. If i'm not mistaken, there are some scholars who say "Deu 32:8-9" according to the ESV, not KJV, seems to suggest that God, after he caused us to no longer all speak the same language, set spiritual beings over the gentile nations. Some scholars also think that "Psa 82" indicates that those spiritual beings at some point decided to not rule the gentile nations uprightly which is why it is believed that God is shown to have pronounced judgement upon them when "Psa 82:7" says "nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince.". I think you'd find the works of a former seminary teacher named Michael S. Heiser significantly helpful when it comes to this topic. I don't know much about this topic but know the little that I do know as a result of examining his work. Sadly he passed away last year at the age of 60. And the scriptures that you reference are indicators that spiritual entities, indeed, were set over particular nations. Even in the book of Daniel, when it mentions the Prince of Persia, this is another indicator that spirits rule over particular geographical locations. Good stuff.
