I was a bit unsure about the new direction of Gearea, when they realeased "World Ablaze". Would they lean into a softer, more metalcore oriented side? Wich each single out my concerns lessend. But the album still BLEW me away! What a force, a grandesse, a dynamic intensity! Amongst all songs, Wilted Flower is my favorite. They nailed the picture of a sole flower still in bloom, yet slowly dying in a world of grey. Gaerea is how you nail modern black metal and among many amazing releases this year, "Coma" will be in my top 3 at least.
Dealing with some bad flashbacks this song is beautifully healing. It captures the pain of the memories, that you didn't have a voice and how hard it is to get better. During the flashbacks it's a maze of just awful feelings and it truly feels like you're just trapped, you're becoming more and more dead inside as times goes by. Thank you for this painfully beautiful song 🖤 Anyone dealing with this know that there is hope and you will get through this 🖤
