If a ruler has only 1 kingdom, dutchy or empire and you press your claim on that primary title, you get all his land. If he has multiple of the same dank as his primary you only gain the land in your claims.
Great video! Normally to deal with revolts I give counts in the rebelion as vassals to a duke that supports me, or I create a duchy to do that. If they are not your direct vassals, they wont rebel against you.
If the pope takes the empire of italia decision when owning Italy and Illyria, can he then form the Roman Empire because if so that would be interesting to see
French nobility: "YOU ARE NOT FRENCH!" Laith: "Uhh, but... I am? Oui oui, baguette, hon hon hon." French nobility: "Oh, he is french. Apologies monsieur."
Laith in like the military tab so all the levies men and arms there at the bottom you see the rally point flag and next to it being a + sign, click it and you get another rally point with a different color
Idea for a custom Character game (maybe multiplayer) Laith plays a character whose religion is Chatolic and the head of state of said religion is Yuri!
Whenever Laith mentions the cities needed to mend the schism, is it just me who always hears 'and Tokyo' instead of 'Antiochia' 😅 I'm like 'why the hell do you need Tokyo, man?!' 😂
1:02:38 SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA - You can do a famous trek from the Pyrenees to this city. According to a medieval legend, the remains of the apostle James, son of Zebedee were brought to Galicia for burial, where they were lost. Eight hundred years later the light of a bright star guided a shepherd, Pelagius the Hermit, who was watching his flock at night to the burial site in Santiago de Compostela.[6] This site was originally called Mount Libredon [gl] and its physical topography leads prevalent seaborne winds to clear the cloud deck immediately overhead.[7] The shepherd quickly reported his discovery to the bishop of Iria, Theodemir.[6] The bishop declared that the remains were those of the apostle James and immediately notified King Alfonso II in Oviedo.[6] To honour St. James, the cathedral was built on the spot where his remains were said to have been found. The legend, which included numerous miraculous events, enabled the Catholic faithful to bolster support for their stronghold in northern Spain during the Christian crusades against the Moors, but also led to the growth and development of the city.[6]
at 17:00 what does the number at the bottom right of all of your artifacts represent? It starts at 6 then they all drop to 5 when you change a piece, then 4 for same reason, then 3 before you close out your inventory. Edit: Apparently that number represents how many new artifacts you have that you haven't looked at.
I really would like too see you bring the true holy Rome Empire to Europe. But damn Transfer some of the useless vassals to the Pope. Be a true Vassal to his Holyness
I was thinking how weird this video is and the ck3 community but i remembered that before this video i was setting up a campaign where i would be a roman targaryen elf.
48:30 the men at arms counter reduce target MAA's damage(not toughtness, not pursuit, not screening). 1000 bowmen provides 1000 skirmisher Counter Power(CP), 1000 longbowmen provides 1000 skirmisher CP, 1000 HeavyCav CP 1000 crossbowmen provides 1000 HeavyInf CP, 1000 HeavyCav CP, 500 ArcherCav CP when counter power equals enemy combatant number e.g 1000 bowmen vs 1000 light footmen, target MAA damage is reduced by 45%(10-->5.5) when CP doubles enemy MAA e.g 1000 pikemen vs 500 armored horsemen, target MAA damage is reduced by 90%(100-->10), this caps at 90%. Laith army consist of 700 Pikemen, 700 bowmen, 600 Armored Footmen, 700 crossbowmen, 350 armored horsemen as combatant. He is also Italian, having formation fighting expert he gain extra 15% counter efficiency. He has 805 Lightcav CP, 1610Heavycav CP, 805 camelcav CP, 805 elephant CP, 805 skirmisher CP, 690 spearmen CP, 805 heavyInf CP, 402.5 archerCav cp, 402.5 archer CP. Of all above, enemy didn't have cavalry for the first fight, skirmisher for either fight, making his pikemen and bowmen inefficient. In the first fight enemy Norse army has around 4k MMA, let's assume it's 1k for each regiment they've brought 1k Varangian Veteran, 1k Huscarls, 1k bowmen, 1k Bondi Norse has 2k spear CP, 2k archer CP, 1K heavycav CP, 1k skirm CP, 1k lightcav CP. With above assumption, Laith's pikemen, bowmen, crossbowmen, armored horsemen are ALL fully countered, reducing their dmg output by 90%, only armored footmen is doing 100% dmg. Norse 2k heavy inf face 0.8k CP, reducing dmg by about 18%, 1k bowmen face 402.5 cp, reducing dmg by about 18%, 1k bondi facing 690 CP, reducing dmg by about 31%. What truly won the first fight was his commander being 28 adv against 12 adv of enemy, the Norse lord really fumbled the ball by ordering f2 all charge.
48:57 Laith's ally joined his fight very quickly, while enemy's reinforment only showed up after the first fight's defeat, while also being split into 3 groups feeding into fire. Thus despite being inferior in quality, Laith made an extremly good call to attack that first Norse army, which consists of 4k strong MMA with very good counters, absorbed the damage with levy. Then his ally brings in more levies to tank, finishing up trash HRE troop no problem.
for anyone curious, Santiago is a holy site because the legend says that saint James' body was lost at sea or something and washed up in the city. 25:33 This is very conflicting. Last video you talked about how city states had 20,000/200,000 troops or something. Like huge armies way bigger than what we see in game. Now you’re saying 600 is more reasonable??

probably be a caliphate frankly the empire title here is just an alternate name of Italia, like for example if an english cultured king makes the kingdom title of zaphorisdia (or however you spell the kingdom crimea is apart of in ck3) it will be called 'new england'. one of the various, interesting things that can happen. (another one is if a muslim nation gets the holy roman empire as their titles. it will be called the 'Halal Roman Empire'. (if other stuff that cause the default title name occurs vs dynastic names.) ck3 has quite a few alt names for kingdoms all over the place, always funny to see em
Btw its not "taking the lords name in vain" by simply saying or exclaiming it, one has to claim to be doing things in the name of God typically for selfish or unholy reasons. Sorry this always bothers me people don't know the true meaning of the phrase.
