F Series finally getting some respect. I had one when they were new, LOVED it. Let a band/manager talk me into selling it for a Marshall that never sounded good and eventually died. Just got “my” (a) F100 a few months ago… still absolutely rules. The clean channel alone is worth it.. the gain channels are extremely useful if you understand how to dial it (cascading eq) an unsung hero in Mesa history.
Thanks. Awesome video! These actually aren't that easy to find. I recently settled on a F-50 combo. These are definitely underrated. I've heard them described as a mix between a mark series and a recto. I guess that's a little vague, but also heard them described as dark. No JCM 800 brightness, but sounds great, I think.
Nice demo. I just stumbled into one via trade. It's mint with footswitch. Years of using Rectifiers and Marks and this amp really shocked me. It's like a Rectifier and Mark mixed. It's at its best with a clean boost, and the clean channel alone with Reverb is nice. This was an add-on for a huge trade. Guy owed me another $300, so he thru in the F100. Zero experience with it, but I'm glad I took it.
I've been looking for a used Mesa Oversized 4 X 12 cab and just found a listing for one and the F-100 head to boot for a great price. I never even heard of this head before but after hearing it here I will pull the trigger on getting it for sure.
I purchased a Mesa Boogie Single Rectifier over one of these back in the day. I should have gone with my first mind and purchased the F-100. It was way cheaper than anything in the Rectifier series at the time (nobody wanted an F-100) and it had a much different sound. I ended up selling the Rectifier because I sounded like everyone else and hated it.
I would say the F-100 over the nomad. The nomad comes across as more raw/punk. It can get there for sure… but the F-100 would be more suited to Metal. Cheers -Ryan
found one of these for $400 was wondering if it has anything about it that would be worth it mainly just curious for an additional tone in the home studio

Shout out for the consistent playing and nice capture of the amps! This is a great comparison
The F-100 is no slouch but IMO the two Marshalls shined in this comparison. Thanks for sharing!
Love mine through my 4x12 mesa cab for punk rock!

Found one, Bought it, Sold it due to financial problems, Watched them appreciate in value, regretted it for years. If you get one, hold onto it.

Some absolutely solid playing there!
The amp sounds great, would pair up nicely with that marshall for a twin amp setup.
Cracking vid sir

Badass. It sounds awesome 👌
I love the faces you make when playing medddall . Sound is awesome. What kind of Box you are using? Greets from Germany!
Box as in Pedal? No pedal on the F-100. Box as in Cabinet… Mesa Rectifier Standard Oversized Cabinet. Cheers -Ryan
Yes, in Germany we sah "Box" for a speaker cabinet...Lautsprecher-Box, thx
this amp goes for metal....? or maybe pushing it with a pedal....? thanks
the jcm 900 sounded the best here. Such angry vowel sound.
Whoa Shit! tough riff! Mesa for the Win!
Ok, which one would you say sounds better, uh, more metal, this one or the Nomad?

That mark 5 w
Is so juicy

$400 and it’s for Studio Use? Generally you want as many heads as you can get in a studio. Especially at that price! Cheers -Ryan
my thoughts exactly ill probably snag it out of sheer curiosity I thought $400 seemed like a bargin despite the mixed reviews @@Crypticmaskguitar
