God I love my car
Owning a GTI myself i will tell you, never will i buy a GTI again. Not because they fail or anything. Its just way to much power to send thru the front wheels. They look nice (at least in my opinion), they sound nice, they are brilliant build quality, they are feature rich and the features feel solid and well executed unlike many other manufacturers features. But if you put your foot down in perfect conditions its just wheelspin city. A 100hp AWD can smoke a GTI of the line at a trafficlight. Nevermind what happens if road conditions are anything but perfectly good. Im saving up for a Golf R.

I came here hoping to find a good-sounding exhaust for my GTI and all this makes me want to do is get a different car. Most of these sound like ass... literally.

Sounds like it’s straightpiped
First thing I’ve done is got my resonator cut out but kept the muffler. I like the sound, it’s deep and throaty and pops very little. Still looking and waiting to get an aftermarket muffler to make it sound even better. Don’t straight pipe, it ends up sounding really ricer like.

Sad that 95%+ of the mk7s had the dsg. I get the farts are cool can all, but I quite like shifting into 3rd at 70mph. My stock 2016 S wasted a challenger hellcat from a dig (granted it was soaking wet and starting to freeze) and my buddies 370z with a tune, clutch and flywheel, exhaust wont beat off the line unless we are rolling about 40. I'll hit about 90 and then he's gone lol. Vw really knows how to get the most out of 200whp.
Dsg is amazingly fun! I came from a 6mt z and veloster n. Well built autos like these are fun.

Fahren einen 7 FL Gti als performance, das einzige Modell welches nicht popt und knallt und selbst da gibt's Leute die was auszsetzten haben. Echt arm wie wie sich das ganze entwickelt.

@@sky-wz5ir Haldex Failure, that aint normal. Haldex delivers power to the rear through torque so the wheels dont spin.
