    I had a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu 2.4L 4 cylinder that made 169 HP it is no where near as quick or zippy as my 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer that little 1.3 is great!!! While you won’t be setting records at the track LOL it is perfect to get around town and on the highway. Mine has the CVT and honestly no complaints at all. Especially love listening to the little growl and throaty exhaust

      if you have the 1.3 means you have AWD and the 9 speed trans the CVT is in the FWD 1.2

      @TomDeVito 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Jonathan11225 Actually, the 1.3 comes with both AWD and FWD depending on how you option it if you go AWD then yes you’re getting the 1.3 and a 9 speed auto however if go FWD yes you’re getting a CVT (which honestly isn’t bad) but you have the choice between the 1.3 or 1.2. If you have the 1.2 you’re not getting AWD

    Noticed that you described the additional low height tread pattern along the sides of the tread as "for looks". Not sure if anybody else commented on this as I did not have time to read every prior comment.
    Actually, tires for vehicles which might be expected to go off-road often have this, as it provides additional tire tread contact area and improved traction when used in sand and certain other conditions like some snow conditions, which can be achieved by decreasing tire pressure to 10-15psi. Try it out, take a picture of your tire fully inflated to specs, then drop your tire pressure down to 10-15psi and take a comparison picture and you will see the increased amount of tread sidewall contact. This was originally a design feature of Mickey Thomson Baja off-road tires that is now pretty common on virtually every basic tire intended for CUV/SUV/truck use where there might be a chance of off road usage. Just graze tires for trucks/SUVs online or at any tire shop. Or ask a guy at a tire shop like discount tire.
    Otherwise good review. Thanks.

    I had a 1999 S10 Xtreme with a 4.3 L V6 ranked at 180 HP and it was nowhere as quick as my 2022 Trailblazer with the 1.3 L 155 HP 3 cylinder. My RPM's are never high. That engine powers the vehicle with ease, and I'm getting great gas milage. I've noticed that 99.9% of people that say they don't like the new Trailblazers are people that have never driven one. I love mine.

      People like to bash and pick sides especially these days. I recently changed jobs and bought a 2021 active as i only have to drive a mile to work now. Got rid of my Colorado ZR2 to save money and this thing is quick and fun to drive as well as looking sporty. Not some girls car. Not clombing up into a truck or climbing out of the bucket seat of a car. Its up high enough where i can just get out level. Fully loaded with leather seats and the inside of the car is beautiful compared to the base model. Anyway. Loving it so far.

    You commented about the apparent power even at your altitude. That's the advantage of a turbo, it will pump in the air needed to run and the motor will always think it is at sea level. Otherwise, according to engine physics, you lose about one per cent power for every thousand feet of altitude.

    $31k dollars for a Trailblazer! Seriously!
    A Kia Telluride LX, with 8 seats and a V6 starts at $32k. Who in their right mind would pay $31k for that tinker toy?! Heck, if you want smaller (than the Telluride) and better gas mileage, a Kia Niro Touring Model is $31k and gets 43mpg combined.

      "Nationalism." Same thing happened after the USA was crushed in Vietnam: "started buying made in the USA" despite a lot of those vehicles being ... pretty much bad cars. (Japanese cars were a big exception.) This all changed in the 1980s with the Japanese/European invasion and ultimately with all of Detroit going bankrupt in 2008 save for Ford Motor Company. I remember getting 50 miles per gallon in a Volkswagen Golf back in the 1980s....300,000 miles on that vehicle before it died as well. What passes for fuel economy and durability has been total junk since then. Anyhow big interest in 1970s Das Auto as fuel prices soar this year 2021 as collector items. Ford 5.4 liter V8 values (not the 3 valve type apparently) are also soaring in value as well apparently. Das Auto sales continue to soar to start 2021 which is quite the oddity given how expensive these items have become as stated here in the comment stream I agree.
      Still used car valuations in the USA are going up far more on a percentage basis in price than is happening to new vehicle prices.
      Too bad for Chevy they got rid of the Volt. That was a great vehicle as was true of the 2nd Generation Cadillac ELR.

      Yeah 155hp (assuming the top trip 1.3L) is just comical for a vehicle that weighs 4,200 lbs is insane. If it weren't for the insane gear ratios of the 9 speed trans, this thing would be completely gutless to drive. Not only that, no way is a 1.3L being pushed that hard going to last 200K. You can't expect a boosted 1.3L to live a long life pulling around over 2 tons on a daily basis.
      I've gotten 29mpg (highway) on a 2007 Impala with the 3.9L with AFM... Not bad for a car that only has a 4 speed, and uses an old school push rod V6 lol.
