First blade clutch I have seen on a Toro/Briggs. You are brave to video your first attempt. A good Memorial Day weekend got me up to 55 but with this drought, I expect things will slow down quickly. Thanks for showing us the Toro fix.

Yes I rarely get Toros in that are this new. Had one with the knockoff Honda earlier in the year but no blade clutch. Luckily I got all the ones I had sold before the dry weather. Wow 55 mowers, you have me beat! I'm in the 51-52 range but hoping for some rain so I can get this one gone.

I've got one of these, bought it special to have for myself, 20332, I LOVE the mower too, of course if it'd rain so I could use it.

I have considered keeping one of these but have no need for it. These are my favorite consumer grade mowers. Thankfully I got my customer returns all sold in time before the dry weather came.

You have two belts showing in your video. Where does the longer belt (v-belt) rest underneath the mower? There doesn't appear to be a groove like where the shorter belt is. I'm currently replacing the longer belt and I can't tell where it goes underneath the mower. Your video is the closest I've seen to figuring it out.

I've long since got rid of this mower but I'm guessing you're talking about the self propel belt. To my knowledge you have to take off the blade clutch to access it and remove it. Once you do that you should be able to see how it is routed a little better.

I know this is a late reply but the pulley for the drive belt is under the second clutch plate.

Is this something any mower repair shop would be able to do? Im having the same issues with mine it still vibrates even with the blade turned off and it actually seems to vibrate a little more with the blade off then on. Honestly I would probably mess it up even more if i attempted to try and repair by myself lol

It really depends on the shop. Many won't touch it for liability reasons and will try to sell you a new crankshaft which would cost more than the mower is worth. I don't hesitate to do it as seen in the video. It's a $200 push mower not the space shuttle as Taryl would say!

The spin stop on the new models is built cheap. I had a Toro from the 90's with a spin stop that I took apart, it was massively overbuilt with about 3x more parts and I remember a 1/8 inch thick plate that was about 4x4 wide under it too in addition to the round one this one has. Still have those parts layong around, doubt anyone would ever need them, they probably never broke.

I had an older one like you were talking about that the spin stop had frozen up from where it sat outside and got badly abused but I remember how beefy they were built and you're right much better. I was surprised at how little there is to these newer clutches.
