I'm from South Africa, been supporting Man City since 2011, the growth that I've seen of this club over the last 2-3 years has been immense in this country (I can only speak for my country but I assume it's the same everywhere else as well). There was a time where I wouldn't see a single City fan, it was literally just me, now it's like I'm the OG of City fans, they are EVERYWHERE! The signing of someone like Haaland must've helped double our fan base as well, especially young kids, they just love the guy to death. I can see us signing another superstar in the near future, it's undeniable, such players take a club to the next level, and if you're winning stuff like I don't know, THE TREBLE! That helps massively as well. Man City are just getting started, I see it everyday, call Man City a small club all you want, but this "small club" is going places. Great stream guys.
Same, I'm from Cape Town. Started supporting City in 04/05 when Kevin Keagan was the manager. The growth of this club in SA is insane. What a journey it's been so far.
The way we stuck together and battled for the win was best epitomised by John Stones who right up to the 95th minute was still either laying off passes into Inters area then minutes later, kicking balls off our goal line as we’ve seen him doing nearly all season !! What a terrific player he is.
I just love it when you two have these conversations!! So many football podcasts have small set of subjects they cover and they have no depth, they don’t dig deeper or add any new perspectives. You guys do all of that and more.Brilliant content again.Definitely a class above the rest
the journalist that reported pep is going to leave at the end of his contract is Jamie Jackson, a united fan that coinsidently was the only journalist to report pep was gonna leave the day before man citys treble winning parade. He doesn't know anything and more than likely just done it because he wanted city fans to enjoy the treble less and and have some doubt in their mind about pep
Great show. Absolutely spot on in everything you say. Most normal football fans don't care about the charges etc. It's mostly fans who chose their club from another town or country or basked in the success of their club so much theyre now wallowing in defeat. Nothing wrong with choosing your team, but supporting a football club is about success and failure. Take the rough with the smooth. I guess it's easier if you want through the rough before the smooth. I speak to a lot of people in manchester that claim to be united fans but their kids now support city. Times they are a changing
It's an unbelievable achievement, I can't believe they did it, the last 5 mins were so tense and Diaz header away was amazing, the ffp mess can't be ignored or dismissed, it does colour things no matter how much we say it doesn't.
That Utd '99 team cost £75m to put together at a time when the average annual revenue of an elite club was £55m - strange how perception/media can influence things so much
Ahsan is bang on. I’ve been a City supporter here in 🇨🇦 since 1997. I have dual citizenship in 🇺🇸 so I’m in that country a lot also. Nobody here cares about the 115 charges or our ownership.
Hi there from Manchester My brother moved to Vancouver in '93 and lived there until last year and then moved to Grand Pre near Halifax. He obviously supports City from afar, like you. Keep the Blue flag flying in Canada brother. 🇨🇦 COYB
as much as I adore bernado, Gundogan and Laporte and would be over the blue moon if they signed an extension, I’m already looking forward to seeing some new faces in this city side in august. Watching Pep coach new players to be their greatest and evolving his tactics to accommodate them is so satisfying to watch. really hoping for a signing like Florian Wirtz to spice up the attack and Gvardiol at the back to bolster our defence 💪 also doesn’t feel likely right now but I think Declan rice would be magical under Pep
I predict, since the other teams are all starting to play from the back, Guardiola, after losing Mahrez and Silva going straight 4-4-2 with Alvarez and Haaland up top playing big man big heart attack. Throw back to thel ate 70s in style
I'm from the states...Did Man City players cheat on the field? Did the manager bribe the referees before games?? Did the club staff change the weight of the ball? Why do rival fans keep bringing up allegations about the ownership. Even if found guilty on all charges, the players had nothing to do with it. Man City must be one hell of a team to reduce rival fans to talking about legal and financal issues. If a NEW YORK GIANTS fan was ever caught complaining about the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS shady business to sign TOM BRADY they would be labelled a little bitch! And rightly so. Come on England, be better than this....
We were the Champions of England when we entered the Champions League, unlike United in 1999. That's why this is better than theirs; this is The Champions Treble. This was the real - the proper treble; The Champions Treble. Spread the word - you heard it hear first. They even had the chance to stop it half way through, but only succeeded in conceding the fastest FA Cup Final goal in history. We are the Champions of Europe after winning The Champions Treble.
I’m gutted we missed out on Bellingham because he is the perfect Gundo replacement. Is it true we pulled out of the deal before he agreed to join Madrid?
He always wanted Madrid. They wanted him. Wish him all the best there. He will do very well. Can’t see him in the PL in the next few years. 6 year deal with a billion euro release clause
Burnley away first game of the season on a Friday night? What a joke Newcastle first home game. West ham home last game of the season City again start away from home.
This will sound a little negative, but we never would have achieved this with Raheem still in the locker room. his moaning and whinging and the constant need to accommodate him in the squad was getting ridiculous. Selling Raz, Gabby and Zinny and shipping Cancelo could be seen as moves as big as bringing in Manuel or Ake. Yes, bringing in Haaland was the big change for us being clinical, but Raz had become a big problem that was painful to discuss.
Which treble team is better ? Everyone says the premier league is more competitive now than in the past :- there are no easy games , all clubs have quality players , and foreign players are more common in more clubs -the top six expanded in the 2023 season with Brighton , Villa and Brentford all joining. The Leicester premier league in 2017 proved how the league of the last decade is far more competitive and open than that of the 80’s , 90’s and early 2000’s --Today the City players have to manage social media and 24hr news that is much much more invasive than anything the united players had to deal with - this makes the mental/emotional challenges of modern players greater than those of the past because the players of the 90’s were far more shielded from the public than those of today --- Now go compare the top two clubs at the end of the 1999 and the 2023 season - look at every stat : goal difference, overall points, games lost …etc -- finally compare the teams that City and United faced in the run up to their champions league finals , and compare the scores - for example in the semi-final City had Real Madrid (beat them 5-1) - United had Juventus and got through on the away goals rule. In the quarters City got Bayern and beat them 4-1 , while united beat inter milan 2-0………. FACTS prove the city treble team are considerably better.
United won the champions league when the Premier league wasn't the best league in Europe, Serie A and la liga where and united were up against a truly great arsenal side who had been double winners the previous season , city were up against an arsenal side who threw away an 8 point league and had bottled top 4 the previous season , it took United 2 games to get past arsenal in the fa cup semis both titanic struggles not a semi against championship Sheffield United like city had and finally football was a lot more physical back in the 90s , and more competitive , and finally united didn't have 115 fraud and corruption charges hanging over them , for what it's worth I'm a burnley fan so I got no axe to grind just stating my opinion, in uniteds European games they had to play both juve and inter both playing in Europe's top league of the time and were in the group of death with barca and bayern , United won a treble with 8 academy players who had come through the youth team not a team that had had a billion £ spent assembling it , final point united did it first

Yes Renzel, from Manchester and a mancunian Man City fan of 50yrs. Good to hear from you brother.
Same, I'm from Cape Town. Started supporting City in 04/05 when Kevin Keagan was the manager. The growth of this club in SA is insane. What a journey it's been so far.
Great comment my friend🩵

Except for the fact that Stones came off in the 82nd minute.
No he came off. You should have watched the match.
I shouted you on the bus the other night Steven. Good to see you buzzin! As we all are!

YES THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED LEGENDS! Big up to you both 🤲
This is actually a brilliant pod.
I wonder why u city fans don’t all create a weekly show together.
You guys, MCFClads, big Steve, Dan , Buvey etc
I've taken friends to the Camp Nou to watch Messi play. It's what happens with big clubs. City is a big club, so tourist fans is part of the deal.
Love it when Ahs goes off on the media, scousers and rags. Great video, would be cool to see you on 93.20 pods

My favourite series on your channel. Class guys!
I don't want to take anything away from S. Inzaghi, who did incredibly well, but they had Porto, Benfica and AC Milan in the knock-out rounds
Fixtures out tomorrow morning 9am
I wonder if we will actually start off with an home game?
I can already imagine the bitterness of the FA, errr, I mean United/Liverpool Fan Association, making us start away. their pettiness feeds my soul.
@@cityslacker6221
We very rarely start at home.
@@cityslacker6221
Away to Burnley.
I predicted we would get Burnley first game.
hi steven and ahsan nice to see you back ahsan to celebrate the great winning season i have waited all my life for this thank you for the vlog
Love the Ste and Ahsan pod. About the “Rivals”, the hate is an English thing. No one else in the world give two shits about 115 charges
It's an unbelievable achievement, I can't believe they did it, the last 5 mins were so tense and Diaz header away was amazing, the ffp mess can't be ignored or dismissed, it does colour things no matter how much we say it doesn't.
Loved the stream boys! And Howsen is a melt.
Needs to be a t-shirt "I went to Rome to see the Coliseum. I went to Manchester to see Erling Haaland." 😂
That Utd '99 team cost £75m to put together at a time when the average annual revenue of an elite club was £55m - strange how perception/media can influence things so much

Best chat I’ve seen in ages ❤️❤️❤️
Morning, City won the 3 peat and treble in the same season
No fatigue here
Can’t wait for August 5th
Am exhausted. Give us a break!😮
@@marryan2872 I loved that run. Took my mind off work. Like I said, can’t wait till August

City were unbeaten in the champions league 😁

Hey Ste - checked out your new Web site, looking good!
Great podcast boys

United weren't cooking the books for 15 years were they
Ok just for fun. Who do you think city's first game will be against?
I'm going for Burnley.... what about you...
Spot on 👍🏻
Well done 👍🏻
I’m gutted we missed out on Bellingham because he is the perfect Gundo replacement. Is it true we pulled out of the deal before he agreed to join Madrid?

His loss, you’ll see
Yea man …. Both cup runs were difficult opposition 👍🩵🏆🏆🏆🩵
United are moving the goal posts so often they might as well stick a couple of Roombas underneath them.
I think De Zerbi is the guy to follow Pep
Wouldn’t say no to De Zerbi 👍
Pssst… Ste…. Got a teensy little not so secret to tell you…. 🤭 City won the treble. 🙌🏻😍
If the club offer Gundo a training position when his playing days are over I bet he’ll stay.
Burnley away first game of the season on a Friday night? What a joke
Newcastle first home game.

Man City Comparisons
The Centurion team = Mike Tyson
The Treble team = Muhammad Ali
awesome analogy!
I see that some amendment is necessary. Should I have said "edited to exclude some important facts"

I have just come across a documentary football biggest scandal, who produced this programme,do you know?
Declan Rice to join man city.
You heard it here first.
👍🏻
I like Ahsan and all, but man, he is constantly cutting Steven off. Let him finish for fucks sake.
