Some notes: The loss of a child is the worst thing that can happen to parents! But when your own child is murdered, the pain is immeasurable. It is a tragedy that stirs up every emotion: endless grief, deep despair, anger, feelings of guilt and a tormenting longing for answers. Parents often feel an unbearable emptiness because their child was taken from this life without them being able to protect it. They ask themselves why their child had to die and wrestle with the thought of whether they could have prevented anything. Some lose themselves in feelings of guilt, even if they could not have changed anything. Everyday life becomes torture. The empty children's room, the silence that suddenly fills everything and memories that are both comforting and tearing. Every birthday, every holiday becomes a painful reminder of what was lost. Many parents feel as if a part of them died with their child. Anger and helplessness also play a major role. The thought that someone deliberately took their child's life is unbearable. Some seek justice, others sink into hopelessness. In the long term, it can be very difficult to live with this loss. Some parents find comfort in faith or in the memory of the love they shared with their child. But the wound remains! A pain that never completely goes away.
