That was a pretty good tutorial, I gave you a like because I was able to follow along as a newbie pretty well- EXCEPT that you did have spots throughout that you mention but ultimately neglect to show the step-by-step process for, example: when you divided your text boxes into paragraphs. I have been to so many "beginner tutorials" where the instructor, in an effort to keep the video under 15 mins or just not being a very good teacher (you can be great at something but doesn't mean you make a good teacher of it), flies through certain steps without explaining how they did it to the audience. If people want to make "beginner tutorials" you MUST clearly explain and show EVERY step otherwise someone could put in quite some time creating the project only to have to abandon it because they are missing crucial steps. I don't think I am unique in preferring a longer video with ALL the steps vs a shorter one missing steps. I give you an A-, definitely MUCH better than others I have come across and know that even my teachers in college do this. Largely I think it happens because the instructor has been doing it for so long, they forget that newbies need slow, concise and clear step-by-step instructions. Thanks for sharing your knowledge! What is the industry standard in InDesign on a brochure...to place the outside on page 1 or page 2?

Thanks for the question! It actually does not matter much, because it doesn’t really affect the design, however, mostly the outside panel goes to page 1.
