I think it's more so the excitement of being on a high that u know u can't maintain is what kills most youtubers and once u see your numbers dip no matter how big or small it takes a toll and that shouldn't ever matter if u love what your content is rather than having to be forced to keep up with the current youtube meta. Numbers are important but they shouldn't if it messes with you mentally. Health and overall content with how you want to be for now (content wise) is more important than an overall shift that once u see doesn't go as well as u thought makes u 2nd guess more and feel more awkward trying new things. It's not that he doesn't care in my eyes it's he probably misses the high he got doing the videos he did eith big numbers that once it passed by hurt so much more than it actually should have
