- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today spoke on the Manipur issue in parliament amid the Opposition's allegation that he had "turned his back" to the violence-hit state. PM Modi launched a scathing attack on the Opposition for "politicising" the sensitive issue, and said the Centre is committed to bringing normalcy in the state. Violence has been declining and schools have reopened in most parts of the state, he told the Rajya Sabha.

If Manipur has seen this same problem over decades, even after 10 presidential interventions like mentioned in the video, may be the people are the problem. It seems they have rejected every PM from Congress as well as BJP. It is understandable, because no person in his right mind would want to strike a deal with separatist elements. he spoke on it in previous parliamentary meeting only and opposition walked off. you dont follow politics that doesnt mean he hasnt spoken on the issue. this is not a strong opposition, this is a loud opposition who creates ruckus and disturbance wherever possible.
