Well... I really like the hotel and it's history. But sadly, since the reopen in August / 23, it has still not regained it's status or position it enjoyed in the years before the pandemic. This video is a sad reflection of that. Notice how quiet it is? You see more employees than diners. The 2 women you see at 2:40, appear to be a culinary student with an instructor. Not a chef. Most large hotels have OJT programs with schools for hotel and restaurant hospitality students as well as culinary students. Another example is seen at 18:15 where a left handed student is attempting to make a sweet crepe. Griddle is too hot and needs to be cleaned. The topping used is best when 'wet' and way too much chocolate accent is used. At the end of the video it appears that more seats are filling up... a good thing. I wonder if the hotel is actively advertising dining options for walk-in parties or just expecting hotel guests to support the restaurant? With the Glorietta Malls less than 150 meters away, targeted in mall advertising for a Day of Shopping ending with Dinner at the Shangri-La, would be a good start. Thousands of people a day would pass any print or video board ads.
