Thanks for sharing this place. I usually go to Korean BBQ places, so a Japanese one is interesting to me. I never realized the grills are slightly different, but yeah, I think the Korean BBO ones are more of a solid surface. Char looks really good. Even the kaarage looks good. I think there's some corn starch used in the batter to make it light.

Japanese bbq is a bastardization of Korean bbq and focuses primarily on marinated meats. “True” Japanese bbq is yakiniku or grilled skewered meats.
Oh yes, they definitely share similarities but I think some places have different styles like gyu-kaku. Overall, both are solid hehe 😁
