10 would be horrible lol. I’m going to try but I will forget some I’m sure. 1) Monstera Thai Constellation 2) Philodendron Jose Buono 3) Philodendron orange marmalade 4) my largest Desert Rose 5) Philodendron ring of fire 6) variegated dwarf devil’s backbone 7) Epipremnum pinnatum albo 8) Syngonium red spot tricolor 9) Philodendron strawberry shake 10) Philodendron painted lady. OH no! What about my Alocasia and Anthurium. I can’t do it! I tried.

Peperomia hope - yes! What's great about it is also how easily it grows from single leaves, every single one roots which is not something I've experienced in other peperomias. About other varieties, I have some suggestions if anyone is struggling with prostrata, verticillata or deppeana. They seem to like pon, specifically being watered from above. Once the roots fill up the pot and they need more water, I add a wick and water a little more, then wait till the reservoir is completely dry and pon almost dry.

I like this information. Its what I needed since I have the same plants. Some are doing well, others committed suicide. They just didn't like it here.
Once issue I'm having is that I cannot put plants on the floor like you have. I have two cats and one of them thinks the plants are salad for her. Not good. I bought pulleys at Lowes. They are attached to the ceiling with 50 lb screws. I have about 12 planets sitting in macramé hangers from these pulleys; two in wire birdcages I found in antique store and Hobby Lobby. No bird. LOL They are doing well for the windows they are in front of. The bedroom window there are 5 hanging from the ceiling. One is on a table that has a lamp beside it so the agile cat cannot get to it for a nibble. The big bird cage in the kitchen window is a Hoya and has grown so much, twisting it's leaves all up and over the cage, there is no way I can take it out. I will need to repot it this spring, 2023. Major job.
I would love another monstera. The Dubia looks awesome. Perhaps if I had it here in my home office on a table that faces the south window it would survive. I would make some sort of barrier from Miss Lola, the salad cat. Thanks

I just got a Verrigated euphorbia a few weeks ago! Yours is beautiful 😍 I see you say she's very drought tolerant. I keep mine outside in FL so she gets rained on naturally. My monkey tail cactus is in the same spot. Would you think natural rain is too much water for them? Thanks!

If I could have only 10 plants they would be 1) My Philodendron Ring of Fire which became a wishlist plant as soon as I saw one, because I'm a fire sign and also the plant is just gorgeous 2) My Aeschynanthus radicans variegata because they are as rare as rocking horse poop, and the variegation, velvety leaves and purple sunstressing are to die for 3) My Dieffenbachia Bali-Hai as every variegated leaf is different so you just never know what your going to get, and the fact it has some mint variegation makes it super special 4) My Dieffenbachia Reflector, just because it is one of the coolest looking plants on the planet with the camouflage patterned leaves and reflective midribs that literally shine like cat's eyes 5) My Philodendron martianum aka Fat Boy as there is no other plant with such fat stems, plus it's still relatively new so has to make this list 6) My Hoya Bella just because no other Hoya flowers as much as her, and I love the growth pattern and speed of growth she gives me 7) Another Hoya, my Hoya wayettii Tricolour, because the pink colouring on the leaves when she gets really sunstressed seem to glow when the sun hits her 8) My Philodendron melinonii Ghost as even though it's still only a smallish plant the leaves are massive, and I'm intrigued as to how big they will get 9) My Anthurium plowmannii Storm just because I love the large, wavy leaves, which when viewed from side-on look just like a stormy sea 10) OMG picking 10 is soo hard, they're all my favourites, aaarrrgghhh. Ok the 10th would be my Philodendron billietiae Black as it's just such a dark, interesting leaved plant that's such an easy grower. If there was ever a fire, and I had to rescue plants, I seriously think I would burn in the fire with my plants through indecision, lol. Praying there is never a fire 🙏🙏 What I want to know is, how long did it take you to pick those 10 plants, claire? 🤔

Long time watcher, first time commenter! I’d love your opinion on plants that you’d recommend we buy INSTEAD of starting from cuttings. IMO, there are some plants that it’s just worth buying because they’re not very easy to get established, etc. Love ya, girl!

My Monstera esqueleto took FOREVER to root (in water) and grow a leaf rather than a runner, and even now it's incredibly slow growing. The difference from one leaf to another is quite interesting to observe, but if you want a bushy plant, I expect it will take a long time to get there from a cutting.

I was looking to add Albo Monsteras to my collection, as I was looking at etsy, I realised that there seem to be many many shops selling variegated seeds and I did some research and it seems these are all scams as you cant grow them from seeds, no? It you be great if you could do a video about such scams and also it would be lovely to hear your thoughts on Leca...

only 10? My Nepenthes burkei x hamata , philodendron joepii, anthurium pallidiflorum, monstera albo, anthurium waroqueanum, anthurium veitchii, hoya multiflora, philodendron melanochrysum, anthurium clarinervium, and my queen of the night cactus. But would throw a couple of others outside as well to try and safe them ;)

if I could only keep ten of my plants:
1.Monstera Thai Constellation 2.Philodendron Verracussom 3.Philodendron Glorious 4.Anthurium Vitarifolium 5.Hoya Linearis 6.Calathea White Fusion 7.Alocasia Jacklyn 8.one of my Rhipsalis plants that I even don't know the exact ID of it but it's very cute 9.varigated string of hearts 10.for number ten I can't decide between my highly varigated Monstera Albo or Philodendron Pink Princess(eventhough she's crazy) or Anthurium Clarinervium or Monkey tail cactus or Tineke Rubber Plant or Alocasia Azlanii. I have to think more about number ten. if my Philodendron Gloriousom stoped producing so much nectar that ruins it's leaves I would have chose that one
all mentioned plants have been incredibly easy going for me.

Spiders! I purchased mine just for my cats, so instead of hanging it, it is on a marble topped plant stand about 18 inches off the floor. They play with the babies and clean their teeth on the leaves, and the plant grows so fast that you would never know it.

@@prettypothos4me290 lol..that is funny! My previous cat (she died at 22 years old) used to mow down all my spider plants to a nub..babies and all, from beautiful huge plants to nothing. Honestly, the people who can't pick ten plants are suffering from success lmao. I'm not happy with the way my plants are growing right now, so the only plants I'd choose are my glorious, my magnificum, my staghorn fern, and my atabapoense. Maybe my two caudex plants too but I just acquired that recently so I haven't really developed that bond with them yet. My radicans, tortum, Florida ghost, and verrucosum would be on this list but they're not growing well at all :')

I bought a pastazanum at the end of last year and I’ve had it for several months now. I actually find it to be extremely simple to take care of. Requires relatively little water for a philodendron, I have it in a north facing window (in California), and it has been giving me slow and steady growth :) I’d say to anyone who’s nervous don’t be!

I think for me it would be my Bearpaw succulent, Alocasia Frydek, philodendron ring of fire , philodendron pink princess, Alocasia Jacklyn, string of spades, philodendron Billietiae, syngonium (I think it’s a allusion, but it was my first plant), green maranta, and Hoya Pubicalyx splash. Wow that was a interesting experiment on my end. I feel like I have a lot of plant I do like but don’t love (maybe not growing well or whatnot) but also idk guess I’m still somewhat attached and enjoy overall caring for the others that I didn’t pick. I guess maybe a decluttered or purge is happening after spring (might be just be the winter halt of new growth)

10 is a hard choice! Like really really difficult when you’ve got 100+ of plants. But... challenge accepted!
Thanks for sharing yours, Claire, and thank you all guys for all the comments, I've already added some to my wishlist :) My 10 would be:
    1. Ariocarpus Kotschoubeyanus - one of the tiniest but so special if you learn more about them; will never give away or sell mine
    2. Philodendron Joepii - a weird longboi, my fav
    3. Euphorbia Lactea, the White Ghost - such a beauty!
    4. Asplenium Parvati - the best plant, it’s huge and I sleep next to her. She makes a big difference when it comes to air quality (I’ve got allergic asthma and when she gets pests and need to be quarantined it’s the worst time for me, the difference is noticeable) + it’s a gorgeous & an easy going plant!
    5. Aglaonema White Joy - stunner!
    6. Alocasia Yucatan Princess - gorgeous dark foliage, seriously underrated plant
    7. Boston Fern Blonde - it’s such an uplifting plant when you look at it!
    8. Mistletoe Cactus - ours is about 1.40 long by now and she survived a lot and still thriving!
    9. Ficus Moclame - because it gives a garden vibe to any interior as it grows
    10. Radermachera Sinica - also an underrated plant, when people come to visit us they think she is a fake plant :) her leaves look so perfect and shiny that it’s hard to believe she is real. Photos you can find online just do not do it justice.
