Oh my plans keep changing for my 2025 knits.
1 Chevron beret as seen on Helen 2024/25 from All creatures. Just saw the 1st episode in the USA. 😍
    2 Chevron jumper vintage.
3 Puzat jumper from Jack Frost, #33 cabled jumper, I saw it on Engineering Knits is 2025 makes, in forest green 💚 with sock yarn from Lang yarns suggested by Retro Claude as a great yarn to knit vintage jumpers with.
    4. 🌟 Star Sarenade jumper. inspired by your jumper from 2023 makes. I found a snowflake pattern and combining it with the Homefront jumper. I plan to knit the pattern colorwork in the round starting with a provisional cast on, knitting all the sh 14:46 older parts. Steek the colorwork and then knit the rest (bottom) of jumper.
    5. Sommarkoftan 2023, cardigan
    6. Finish Step by step cardigan by Florence knit with Drops Karisma in the colorway Petrol mix. 1st time trying Drops yarn, great price $ happy with the yarn so far. modification, cable work pattern on raglan, Hope that works out.
    7. Lavender crop cardigan to wear over dresses. Made from Drops baby marino.(in stash)
8 Summer Synchestra from Skeindeer knits, modification short puff sleeves like spekra made if I can figure out how she made them.
    9. Miss Marple scarf.
So there's my make 9. It will take me more than a year or two to make it all 😵‍💫

You only just saw the first episode?! Oh you're in for a treat - a feast for the knitters eyes :)
Oh the miss Marple scarf... I forgot about that one! I have that pattern but I haven't made one yet... good idea! :)

If you use Stitchfiddle to create your colorwork charts, you can swap the colors in the sidebar and it will update the chart to match. Might be helpful for switching your colorwork charts around!

Thanks for the tip! I couldn't find the section that allowed me to change the colours, but I did chart out something and it was super helpful - thanks :)

11:23 I would add 2 bright marker color to that weird chart, il for instance black dots marked with orange and white dots with green. This will give the brain another ancor to look for. I hope i explained it well!

Hello, your Forest Berry Jacket turned out adorable. Yes cardis are wonderful. I have yarn for a few of new cardis but been focusing on pullovers and socks. Maybe I need to shift! Also I wanted to mention to you that a game changer for creating color charts is an application called EXCEL by Microsoft. You can easily create a grid for any gauge and color the squares with any color or its variant with a highlite and click. Sections highlited at will and colored at once with a click. Don't like it? Then highlite over what you want to change, drag a new color choice, and click- its done. Not that expensive to purchase and the time you save makes it well worth the purchase. This is where tech really enhances creativity. I grew up and worked in Silicon Valley, not imagining at the early non-knitting time of my life how much this feature would help me have more time for actual knitting. Happy knitting, Carrie from Florence, Oregon 😘❤🐕🐑☕🧵🪡🧶

Thanks for the tip :) I do have Excel but it's all in german so I cheated and went with Google sheets - amazing! Thanks so much - it worked out so well :) I am now fully charted and ready to continue on my mitten journey :)

Would love to see more photos or videos of the finished garment in this video. It was only a short glance of everything (and only few seconds on screen) and I was curious to see a bit more ❤

Ah sorry about that. I have whole videos on each one so for more details and more footage you can watch them 😀 the video would have been veeeeery long otherwise haha but I'll keep that in mind for the future 😊

Love your makes for 2024. I have Susan Crawfords A Stitch in time Vol 3 and have ear marked 7 projects to make 🤣 so I think that’ll keep me pretty busy! Thanks for sharing your future knits too! Happy knitting!

I enjoyed seeing all your projects. Your sweaters are amazing. I make one, maybe two sweaters a year. They take so long for me so I don’t like to do more than that. I have a cardigan that needs the button band and I never feel like picking up all those stitches to finish it. So it’s just been sitting for over a month. 😃 I have all my Make 9s on Instagram.

oh sweaters are my kryptonite haha I love planning them.. knitting them... looking at them... it's just a shame I can't wear them all at the same time haha
Ah you just need a good movie and those stitch picking minutes will fly by :)

I love your plans. I don't have a make 9 as much as I want to make what I'll wear and that doesn't always include hand dyed yarns because of the pooling and such so I'm trying to be selective about what I make. I need to finish my Christmas sweater before December because it never works in Dec. haha! All the best my friend. - Kimberly

Oh I don't think I can really convince myself I do a make 9 either to be honest, considering I have different lists containing more than 9 projects all over the place... here, on my phone, on rav, written on paper haha there's just so many things that desire to be created with two needles and lots of yarn :)
Haha good luck with your Christmas jumper ;) Put on a Christmas movie in July and finish it early ;)

Looking forward to seeing your 2025 makes! There's a bit of overlap in our queues this year. Also really agree about cardigans being a faff but so wearable. I plan to make a few 😊

I'm hoping I actually manage to find my knitting mojo soon because these projects need to be cast on asap in order to ever be made haha
I'm also looking forward to seeing your creations appear on screen :)

Have you ever tried finger splints to help with your knitting? I use thumb splints because I’m hyper mobile and get lots of thumb pain (along with osteoarthritis)

    • @emilykatemadethis
      @emilykatemadethis  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

Hey :) I actually find that the issues are caused from my upper back/neck and insanely tight muscles rather than my actual hand/finger joints (most of the time), so no I haven't. I have heard about them but I wouldn't know where to start to be honest, and I think I'd get stressed by the restriction..... I'd certainly be willing to try them out if I met someone who had them, out of curiosity :)
I'm so pleased to hear they've helped you be able to continue knitting :)
