So far, I haven't gotten into reading translations in my target languages. In fact, I'm not sure if I have read any, other than possibly picture books. I think this has helped me avoid getting tired of children's books (though that might not be a problem for me as I tend to read books for all ages in English). I do own a couple of the HP translations in Spanish that were gifts, but I haven't really wanted to read them because I am enjoying finding new things originally written in Spanish and French. That said, I have also read a few books of short stories written for learners to bridge that beginner gap. I cannot wait to hear all about your trip planning and eventually your adventures in Spain.
Yeah, I think specifically the issue was stories that i don’t particularly love. When I was brand new to reading, it probably would have been exciting enough to just be successfully “reading something”, whereas now I am more picky (I am picky AF in English, so it’s just my personality lolll). I do try to do more native Spanish books than translated, but I will do either.
I will be talking more about my experience learning French from scratch in the next vlog - I'm not an expert by any means, but I'll be talking about what I'm doing.
How fun that you're going to Spain! Enjoy planning your trip!
Thank you!! I am so excited.
I really love your vlogs💖💖
Thank you so much!! ☺️
