Hey yall it’s been 10 months since I uploaded this video so I’ll be posting my 1 YEAR Keyboard & Mouse progression very soon! (EDIT: ITS OUT NOW‼️) Use code: IvansBetter in the Fortnite item shop so I can keep making videos 🧡
Yo I just wanna share some tips. Ive played kb and mouse since chapter 1. You need to ur your mouse buttons for builds! Front side mouse button. Put that as wall. Then to the back side button are your ramp. Q as floor. And C or V as cone. Also You should use F G or E for edits
me personally edit/build binds should be on ur fingers that arent used for movement so u can go in any direction while building/editing but u can do what u like also when u piece control dont place the floors its a waste of mats and time
Tiny tip instead of having your keyboard up to the end of your desk so your arm can be more responsive. Also don’t panic when your building or your low if you panic you will lose.
I would recommend using wall on first side button then ramp on the last side button on your mouse then edit on F cone on shift floor on C and Q for your pickaxe then you wanna put scroll wheel up for secondary use bind to get loot faster then anyone to get loot
I use E to edit, v to reload and left shift to aim. I use right mouse for floor, tab for cone, and my mouse side buttons for wall and ramp. I use q for my pickaxe. It’s all about being comfortable but these binds make it easy for me to push kids and keep my movement consistent bc I barely take my hands off wasd
I use Z for my wall X for my floor C for my stairs V for my cone G is my edit button F is my pickaxe Q for sprint If yall think my binds are bad, im able to do quads and hit clips
Yeah kbm is a huge advantage. So many cracked players like clix and Pxlarized. Thats why i made the switch. Im struggling but somehow im already a better editor than i am on controller. And aiming isnt hard either. Just the mechanics of building and editing. And i keep accidentally hitting the wrong button when switching through items in my inventory.
just started 5 days ago on my first day i only did edits and aim training second and third day i started doing box fights and on my fourth day i do bios to help free building and fighting enemies. I recomended to keep doing box fights to help editing and crosshair placement❤
Hey dude try Cap lock- pickaxe Ctrl- crouch Top side button on mouse -wall Bottom side button -floor Q- ramp X- cone Right side of click on mouse- reset F- edit
im. Not trying to be mean, but I cannot find your key binds in the settings. Can you please put them in the description or just reply to me because I really need them because I’m trying to become good on keyboard and mass like you.
I would try to use c to build a ramp and x to build a floor and z to build a wall and q to buIld a cone and f is to get into the edit thing and g to edit it and thats my controls
there are different grips styles for the mouse search it up and test it out. Another one is most pros tilt there keyboard for some reason idk why test it out
That tilt brings more keys under the hand. Tilt it about 45 degrees and suddenly left ctrl feels just as natural as shift did for sprint, and i can tap 6, T, G with index pretty naturally. Wheras the horizontal position my palm would have to pick up and index would stretch over, almost rolling the palm. Obviously its highly personal (I got short fingers) but thats why the tilt exists
Hey there! I hope you're doing great Ivan. To you and to whoever is reading this comment, these are some general tips that I would like to give. First of all, peripherals, if you have a $10 dollar mouse and keyboard, you wont be able to reach your full potential, i'm not asking for you to buy them for $300+ dollars, buy what you can manage, I recommend the rk61 for a decent and a budget keyboard for around $45 usd, and the razer viper mini for around $50 dollars, these are excellent if you can afford them. and secondly, The performance of your device, cap the fps where you know it will stay capped and not fluctuate. For example, if your device runs 120-150 fps cap it at 120 not 144. 3rd tip is the moment where you improve is when you practice, so practice smart not hard, do quality practicing not just running around and building. there are some videos that I'd recommend. Jivan explains them excellently. lastly, Get comfortable with your settings, dont be afraid to switch them around, make a big switch if it's called for, You're here to experiment to be good, not stay at a certain level and stop at it. Another tip is play on low fortnite settings and high mouse dpi, that way your aim is going to be more precise since your mouse scans more pixels when you move it around. These are some of the tips that I thought of at 3 am, if I remember any quality tips i'll be sure to edit this comment and add on it. Bye!
@@ivansbetter Thanks man, I actually recommend it but your keyboard works too, it'll be much more comfortable when you play since you have more space to move the mouse around. I recommend either the rk61, gk61 or the razer huntsman mini analog. If you do not care about the budget just go for the apex pro mini or the wooting 60he.
i would say one of the hardest things with switching to kbm is aiming because controller players are so used to aim assist they think its normal to aim like that
i just started keyboard and mouse and i’m so bad😭😭😭 i’m getting a mouse with side buttons tomorrow so the grind starts does anyone have any tips? i use f to edit i need buttons for floor and cone
Someone that has tips to build? I switched today and building is soooo hard for me I keep clicking the wrong ones and I really have to get used to clicking and then clicking on the mouse as well

Cap lock- pickaxe

Q- ramp
X- cone

F- edit
