    Dang that rock garden line at 7:00 is cool! A nice use of rocks and not as contrived as the rock use at some other systems! Great video Brian, good to see how the trail systems up there pushing some more cool features!

      Thanks! There was a lot more rock used around the system. That rock garden was a great addition.

    Most improved metro trail? I can definitely see that. Those Northwest Metro trails have a Pacific Northwest flavor with all those wooden, north shore features they’re packing in. I appreciated that downhill rock garden as well. If I recall they actually had some rocks that protrude in spots too so it’s not like a lot of the RockSolid rock gardens where it’s a relatively flat bed of rocks to roll down and there’s some line choice involved. At least that’s how I remember it. Dialed In pointed that out about RockSolid’s rock gardens and I think he’s spot on. Most of them test your suspension, whereas the the rock gardens at Leb test your skills.

      Yeah, I that is a rock garden not a rock carpet. They sure do have a north shore feel to them with all the wood features.

    This was one of the first trails I’d ever been to. Lots of up and down, up and down. Dull. But...the improvements over the last 2 years have made this trail really shine. Definitely a trail to hit many times a year. Great ride, Brian!

      It sure was. All that rock work and wood features has helped a lot. Thanks.

      The fast section in Section 4 are a lot of fun. That trail is great. You're lucky to have a place like that so close. Plus they keep on making it better.

    These are some bold statements that have me intrigued! I may have to see what the hype is all about here. The positive final thoughts are like a warm blanket for my soul. Nicely done!

    Nice looks like fun! I got out for a quick ride at Elm Creek today. There's lots of new things popping up there since the last time I rode.

      I saw they added some tables. Sounds like a lot of work going on to make the trails better.

    Those wood and rock features look fun on those optional lines.

    • @BrianVaughn
      @BrianVaughn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's the kind of stuff I really like. We don't have long descents here so you need the optional stuff to add some fun.

    Swung into Bertram Sunday. Wow. Packed. People stopped everywhere. Had to leave. Not enough trail manners.

    • @BrianVaughn
      @BrianVaughn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a bummer. To be honest, I ride easy in the morning to avoid the crowds.

      Lot of new riders at Bert and Hillside, most of them aren’t in spandex with Strava, some don’t even have helmets and are un aware they should stop on the side of the trail...give them a break and helpful advice, we all learn overtime...

    • @BrianVaughn
      @BrianVaughn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@michaelloch3783 I don't think Harry or I are worried about our Strava times. I prefer a party pace than a race pace. I liken it to setting a tee time, the earlier you go the faster you'll get in your 18.

    So, your video is from 3 years ago..have there been many changes? More improvements? Can it be used as a walking trail?

    Definitely looks like I need to get out there again this year. How's the parking? Did they finish construction on that road in front of the trailhead?

    • @BrianVaughn
      @BrianVaughn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There still is some construction on the road to the parking lot. I had no trouble parking but can no longer make a left out of the lot. They added a median but I flipped a u-turn at a local neighborhood.
