Has the added advantage compared to the space bar that it stops the video even if you are not in full screen and have clicked somewhere else in the windows. And tbf the detox day was still better than what some of the "wellness youtubers" eat on a regular basis or promote as a substantial option for everyday. I have smoothies when I have to leave early in the morning because they're easy to meal prep and have while walking. Like Abbey said, most smoothies people make don't have enough protein or fat to sustain them, so it's important to include something like a tablespoon of chia per serve (the omega 3 is a bonus), yoghurt, avocado, full cream milk (coconut milk and a calcium supplement is good for us non dairy folks), oats, or cashew cream.

I read & seen a lot of Victoria Secret models talk about having extremely strick rules of eating they have to follow, including doing a specific number of fastings & "detoxing" to maintain a bloat-free perfect body. Including a few models who've spoken out about not being allowed to eat or drink even water the day of a show or shoot to avoid any bloating.

Katherine Petersorf None of them have said they weren’t allowed to eat or drink on the day of the show. Adriana Lima specifically said that she stops drinking water a week before the show and only drinks shakes leading up to it. That’s one individual (and definitely not recommended) not all. Romee Strijd also has videos on how she works out and eats leading up to the show and I’d say it’s pretty balanced. I’m not going to say they aren’t put under a lot of pressure to look a certain way, but I think the modeling industry as a whole is leaning towards healthier habits instead of crash dieting and starvation.

They are encouraged to eat very strictly prior to the runaway show, but not during the entire year. The not drinking water thing has to do with some models who walked right after pregnancies, I’m not sure if it’s all of them.
its not difficult to find the diets they follow on the internet, and most of them seem to be okay, expect they have lots of protein and almost no fiber.
Also, complementing what Abbey said about detox days backfiring, every single one of them says they eat a LOT of pizza and hamburgers after the runaway show.

What I've noticed with Sanne's diet is that it has changed a lot the last two years. Not only is it more plant based (which is great, of course), but she also seems to eat way less carbs. In one of her first videos she ate oats with fruits, banana and peanut butter for breakfast, avocado toast with eggs for lunch, also a snack I believe and curry for dinner. It seemed way less 'fancy' and also way less expensive and more carb focused. Always curious way she changed her eating habits, because it was both healthy and she looked the same. Not a fan of the more fancy and expensive way of eating tbh.

Have you watched those videos? She only now start to pretend she is a fan of plant-based because otherwise, she will continue to look like a cave (wo)man.

Love this format, it‘s super productive and constructive :) I also love that you include stuff that goes beyond the basic nutrition and talk more about overall patterns, messages and also branch out into cooking advice and general themes (like that she seems to have fun in the kitchen!)
Personally I was surprised to see a model eat a diet that seemed way less restrictive than some of the other ones we‘ve seen! She seems like a lovely person and I feel like the detox stuff could definitely stem from the Victorias Secret days and the pressure she’s facing as a model. I definitely feel inspired to try some of these recipes out (even though I could never just have a smoothie for breakfast haha)

People seem to think it's eat whatever you want, whenever you and however much of it you want. Not true. They also insist that 'some people's intuition tells them to eat a whole giant pizza and tub of ice cream'. No it doesn't. There are practical steps to take to listen properly to your intuition & it isn't just eat what you feel like until you can't move.

Sanne is a very nice person. You did her dirty. Your tone and face expressions and the thumbnail just suggest you you don't like her and think she's a fraud. If you wanna make a review, you don't need to make it by disrespecting or ridiculing somebody else and say you "debunk" their myths. She's a much nicer and more genuine and more beautiful person than you are.

@Muy Bonita I'm all for objective criticism and opining by the way, but that's not my point. My point is that the way this woman presents her opinion and argues against Sanne makes it seem like Sanne is a bad person who wants to fraud others and scam them. I think this is very clear from the thumbnail and from her face expressions and tone and also by saying she "debunks" Sanne's myths. That's rude. Sanne doesn't fraud anybody. She makes the recipes SHE thinks work best for her and for her model skinny body, she never claimed the recipes will work for everybody--they work for her and for her job, and she's just sharing them. And by the way, this woman doesn't care if people benefit from Sanne's recipes or not. She did this video and put the thumbnail just to attract viewers. That's crappy.

Thanks for this video Abby. Sanne is also my favorite go-to for recipes and ideas. She adds spice to everything, which I love because it's the best way to add flavor.
She tries to make her own salad dressings by using healthy fats from nut butters, olive oil, avocado and not store-bought dressings, which is great because they contain so much unnecessary additives, sugar, salt, omega 6 fat
She focuses on healthy food but she doesn't focus too much on severely restrictive tendencies, she enjoys her food and gets genuinely excited by sharing her recipes.
Also thanks for sharing her calorie intake because I thought she would probably only get 1200 kcals per day. (Sorry, I'm not that well versed in calories and macros)
But I also feel like she does have plenty of good, balanced, nutritional meals 🙂 Maybe some more "eat the rainbow" would be ideal ? 🌈🍉🥭🍍🥝🍠

I'd say this is a valid review you being a dietitian, but what would make this video more tolerable to watch is to cut down on the attitude you have...we understand you're trying to "break myths" & prevent the spread of misinfo but you should do it in a friendlier way that doesn't give off a rude behavior, with those hand gestures & expressions. Sanne has been a model for a very long time & everything she eats suits HER & HER NEEDS ONLY. If she eats like this then that's her normal, no reason for her to restrict herself or for you to judge so harshly. As for a "detox", it's a common thing amongst those like Sanne who may model or eat healthier than normal people. Diet varies for every person in the world, Sanne's videos are solely for inspo for the people who eat like her, like myself. Again, she is a model & has to maintain a healthy, lean & fit body so she can't constantly eat your ideal meal which is probably packed with pastas & breads & other processed foods like an average person. You may be a dietitian, but you aren't a model. Try to have less of an attitude next time. Smile maybe.
Another thing, before you roll your eyes so hard again at the lemon water tip, lemon water is very significant in reducing acne & for promoting healthy skin, as well as ginger. This is precisely why she makes smoothies, to get those essential vitamins in for the day in the morning.

    Great video as usual !
I love that Sanne doesn't shy away from using spices and fresh herbs, I don't see that often people adding mint or coriander to their recipes ^^
I really love this new format where you review a bunch of "what I eat in a day" at once, it feels like we're getting a more accurate picture :)
PS : I don't know if that would be something you would ever consider, but I'd love to see a video on eating habits that are good for your kidneys, I have only one and am trying to take the best care of it, but apart from drinking plenty of water and avoiding too much processed foods, I don't know much about it neither do my doctor ^^'
