@@guintar6661 you're right, she's said this before in other vids. Although this is the first time she's said it for the Yu Yu Hakusho reaction vids. It's usually "Hello, hello" or "Ok/Alright(y)"
Before this point, Yusuke and Kuwabara have only had to kill irredeemable demons. Killing a human, let alone a *victim being controlled against his will.* Then you consider the fact they're both kindhearted kids, so yeah that's why they didn't wanna kill the dudes.
Ichigaki using M1, 2, and 3 was a bit of a smart move as Yusuke and Kuwabara would be reluctant to kill them. The fight would be tough anyway, but this makes it even harder when they do not want to kill opponents who won't stop until they kill them. Yusuke seemed ready to give up, trying to keep them alive to end this fight. Yusuke did seemingly level up by the end of the episode after Kuwabara got hit with the attack. He could finally see the attacks as everything slowed down for him, which was neat to see. And, of course, we finally see under the masked fighter's mask. It was a bit of an unexpected swerve to see a young lady under the mask as all signs pointed to it being Genkai. I won't spoil anything in case she happens to read this.
The 2nd round of the Dark tournament had the 2nd best character work after the finals. It sort of is a good precursor for the themes of the next arc on taking human life.
4:43 Well damn, she's a baddie. I wonder why she was hiding her face this entire time? It's not like she can't hold her own in the ring. Oh well, that's anime for ya 🤷♂️🤣🤣🤣 W vid and reaction Animelon
I believe that she tried to do a reaction of HunterXHunter, but because of copyrights being worse than Toguro at the Dark Tournament, she wasn't able to do so.
@@chrispolo25I honestly don't think they're comparable. Second to Dragon Ball, YYH is the best classic battle shonen that created the tropes that define the genre today. HxH is a complicated coming of age story and the unrivalled deconstruction and subversion of those battle shonen tropes, and thorough exploration of multiple genres. HxH has less flaws, but it's whole purpose and structure is different to YYH's.
I love and hate this episode for the fact that it was too emotional for me as a boy but Ive matured and realized the raw emotion is what made this anime Great also I'd really HATED Dr. Double elbow head/Booty face.
you repeat your sentiment almost as often as the show does. ignoring what the actual solution is, you acquiesce to defeat way too easily. Kuwabara and Yusuke, while they're young kids with codes and reservations STILL aren't quite in the desperate position to see death as the only option. While they are on the defensive, they are in mostly decent shape the entire match. Why just make up your mind so easily if you can survive and attempt actual solutions to save lives? It might SEEM repetitive, but really, the entire tactic of trying to talk it out and reach the brain requires that very thing. One attempt isn't going to get through to them IF that's the method that works. You're letting your position as an audience member and your impatience with the trope itself, cause you to just want one quick outcome. That or, this is an act. The sweet release of death is a bit of an annoying trope too. These older shows run at a slower pace, so unfortunately, the main characters, while also still learning, are gonna need a minute to truly understand the entire nature of a situation while the audience gets the full picture long before.
When Yusuke said "water is wet", I knew he was the brain of this whole operation 💀
Yes, but did you know that "the" bungee gum, possess the properties of both rubber and gum?
This is the episode where Kuwabara becomes the heart of Team Urameshi. Chris Sabat crushed it here.
The reason Kuwabara and Yusuke are reluctant to kill them is... they're good people and 14 years old.
and because they are humans
My boy Kuwabara might have lost a fight, but he didn't lose the war.
I stan the Masked Fighter. She's a real baddie
hittin' us with the "Hey Melon, it's guys here" mixup
"Hi vlog, welcome to my guys."
She always says that

Its after this episode that the arc truly picks up. The preliminaries are over.

Hiei and Kurama is so badass when they team up
Yup
Or just in general, I love them all but hiei is that guy
@@Naucturna I agree Always been a badass from the beginning

That nezuko hoodie is 🔥🔥🔥 tho!!
I wish Kurama and Hiei threw the mech monster directly to dr. ichigaki, that would be satisfying to watch.
they: Kill Kill Kill
Me: Giru Giru Giru Pan Giru in trouble

I remember Yu Yu Hakusho anime show! My older brother he watched Yu Yu Hakusho anime show! ❤🎉😊
I like Yusuke and Kuwabara and Hiei and Botan and Keiko and Kurama too! ❤🎉😊
Yaaay! Thanks melon! Btw I’m loving the sick voice!
The creator of Yuuyuu is Yoshiro Togashi. He also did HunterxHunter. Equally as good. Check it out.
I believe that she tried to do a reaction of HunterXHunter, but because of copyrights being worse than Toguro at the Dark Tournament, she wasn't able to do so.
Equally? No. Hunter X Hunter is better than Yu Yu Hakusho, respectfully.
@@PerryMcCall18maybe she can try the 90s version? It’s a better introduction and Kite was there in episode 1.

I hate this scientist for exploiting their love and respect for their master like that for a cruel experiment.

Hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
I wonder if Melon notice or took account she made a mistake in the first few seconds of the intro
She says that as a running joke.

New crib?
The dark tournament didn’t need to be as long. It’s a bit of a slog at times.
Side effect of the times.
Wow you forgot about the female member of the triad in the list of villains , canceled lol jk
Not much of a badass, Yusuke beat her ass

Genkai a straight up baddie! Toguro had some good taste
No spoilers.🤷🏾♂️
@xman48205 spoilers? That's irrelevant for an anime that aired over 30 years ago. 🤦 That's like saying Goku dies in dragon ball z..
@@B0TJERRYX stupid reasoning, not everyone has seen it however old the show is. You are literally watching someone watch it the first time.
