The armoured cables from the post war Admiralty research station in the building which is now the Youth Hostel.They have a good collection of photos and history in the hostel building. The old transformer building for it before the entrance gate to Hostel survives. Research into undersea listening to detect submarines and ships,I think.
could be part of the old seiner wreck , there's also alot of old mine workings if you kayak out towards St Agnes you can only see it from the water and a huge boiler or something in the water near Porthtowan
