Honestly, Flynn wanting to hold the twins and be apart of their lives is a good sign that he will be close with them! When I was born, my older brother would beg my parents to let him hold me and would be upset if they tried to take me from him. We are best friends to this day, and we are in our early 20s!

I think that Flynn's wonderful reaction to his siblings is likely the result of a few things: 1) his naturally sweet disposition 2) the amazing way he is being raised and 3) the fact that he has been able to watch and learn from his cousins' sweet and loving interactions with each other. Flynn is already such a great big brother and that is awesome to see!
I feel like Wesley coming home first helped Flynn get the idea of a new baby before Maisy was home. So maybe it wasn’t as overwhelming. They are all so precious I can’t handle it 🥺♥️

Seeing you moving around without a ton of pain is very reassuring. How long did it take you to be able to get up and down with Flynn after your c section and feel comfortable doing so??
Hey girl! I’m not Colleen obviously but I was also following her journey while pregnant and had an unplanned csection. I was able to carry him and walk about day 4 but it didn’t stop feeling really sharp until day 7. I know it’s sooo painful but stay positive!
Hi Colleen twin here, I would say from experience is to be careful comparing the twins when they get older because when my mom compared my twin and I, I would be so angry thinking that I "wasn't good enough." But that was just us. You can do whatever you want they are your wonderful little ones. ❤️
It's great that Flynn is adjusting so smoothly. I'm the oldest and as far as I'm told I did not take my younger sister's birth very well. I'm sure being proactive helped a lot. Plus he seems like a 'the more the merrier' little dude.

I am not surprised at Flynn’s reaction to the twins. He is such a sweet gentle little guy and his parents are so encouraging and respectful of him. They are so in tuned to his needs and wants while still holding boundaries and limits that I have no doubt Flynn is and will continue to be an amazing big brother for his little siblings.

I believe she said that he rarely has tantrums or upsets but when he does they find it really easy to talk to him about the problem and get over it quickly. They are both so understanding and communicative with him that he is able to manage his “negative” emotions and feel validated about them :)

I love how open you have been with your pregnancy journeys and I know you love hearing about other people’s pregnancy/birthing stories. I think it could be a really cool community of birthing people and parents. I think it could make an awesome podcast/series and your openness and desire to hear other people’s stories would make you the perfect person to share with. Just a thought and obviously something for down the road. You don’t need one more thing to add to your plate right now.
My great grandma got me gold chains with a single pearly on it for my first birthday and every year for my birthday she would get another pearl added, so now I have a chain of pearls, some that I’ve had almost my whole life. I had to get the chain replaced at some point because it was too small and i wanted to continue wearing it but i made sure they didn’t replace any of the pearls and it is hands down my favorite piece of jewelry, it makes me feel like I always have my family with me when I wear it. Thought I would share because it’s such a loved tradition in my family and with Maisy’s name meaning pearl I thought it would be loved and appreciated just as much by yours

Seeing you moving around without a ton of pain is very reassuring. How long did it take you to be able to get up and down with Flynn after your c section and feel comfortable doing so??
Hey girl! I’m not Colleen obviously but I was also following her journey while pregnant and had an unplanned csection. I was able to carry him and walk about day 4 but it didn’t stop feeling really sharp until day 7. I know it’s sooo painful but stay positive!

Hi Colleen twin here, I would say from experience is to be careful comparing the twins when they get older because when my mom compared my twin and I, I would be so angry thinking that I "wasn't good enough." But that was just us. You can do whatever you want they are your wonderful little ones. ❤️
It's great that Flynn is adjusting so smoothly. I'm the oldest and as far as I'm told I did not take my younger sister's birth very well. I'm sure being proactive helped a lot. Plus he seems like a 'the more the merrier' little dude.

I am not surprised at Flynn’s reaction to the twins. He is such a sweet gentle little guy and his parents are so encouraging and respectful of him. They are so in tuned to his needs and wants while still holding boundaries and limits that I have no doubt Flynn is and will continue to be an amazing big brother for his little siblings.

I believe she said that he rarely has tantrums or upsets but when he does they find it really easy to talk to him about the problem and get over it quickly. They are both so understanding and communicative with him that he is able to manage his “negative” emotions and feel validated about them :)
Tortilla talk question: Would you ever consider doing a series interviewing parents about their birthing stories? I love how open you have been with your pregnancy journeys and I know you love hearing about other people’s pregnancy/birthing stories. I think it could be a really cool community of birthing people and parents. I think it could make an awesome podcast/series and your openness and desire to hear other people’s stories would make you the perfect person to share with. Just a thought and obviously something for down the road. You don’t need one more thing to add to your plate right now.

My great grandma got me gold chains with a single pearly on it for my first birthday and every year for my birthday she would get another pearl added, so now I have a chain of pearls, some that I’ve had almost my whole life. I had to get the chain replaced at some point because it was too small and i wanted to continue wearing it but i made sure they didn’t replace any of the pearls and it is hands down my favorite piece of jewelry, it makes me feel like I always have my family with me when I wear it. Thought I would share because it’s such a loved tradition in my family and with Maisy’s name meaning pearl I thought it would be loved and appreciated just as much by yours

Aww. Flynn and the babies together is so precious! I was 2 when my younger brother was born and was pretty disinterested in him until a friend of mine came over and wanted to hold him and then I was like “Hey, that’s MY brother!” and wanted to hold him. 😂 Flynn’s doing great already!
