These are Made in China basses... I wouldn’t doubt if they’re pretty much the same quality as Squiers. I’d like to see demos of Brazil made ones, e.g., the TPB4 (precision-like bass with Brazilian woods).

The better Chinese Squiers are quite decent instruments. The Tagima I played is a very usable instrument.

@@Below-Average_Joe I have a good deal for a Jazz Bass (American Vintage 74, 2014). It's an open box bass from a reputed store for around $1800, which in Brazil, considering taxes, is a great deal. Nonetheless, that is a lot of money... I already have a Ibanez active bass, but I think its tone is a bit sterile for my taste. I think I prefer P basses, but I have the following choices: 1) A Tagima Made in Brazil one ($500 here); 2) A Squier Classic Vibe ($500 here); 3) Fender American Vintage 74 ($1800 here). The thing is, I already have a Gibson Studio guitar and a Fender USA Standard strat and since then I fell in love for USA guitars... I think American basses have the same appeal in terms of playability and finish. I'd appreciate if you could help me deciding. Thanks in advance.

@@semiografo if you can afford the American Fender, buy it. You will probably love it. Even if you don’t, you can easily sell it for more than enough money to buy your other options and still have something left over.

Search for series Ibuia and Fusion, these are the best woods and hardware (top series).
