For all those who are searching for calculator or link, just divide the distance in inches by 13.5, you will get time alignment in milli seconds.

How do i measure the front speakers if i have a 2-way configuration at the front?

It seems the link is no longer available,
    Hope this can help.
    The formula:
(Furthest Speaker Distance - Target Speaker Distance) / 13,5 = XX ms
    Example:
Driver Front = 47 in (Target)
Pass Front = 62 in (Furthest)
    (62-47) / 13.5 = 1.11ms

On a recommendation, I bought a Kenwood KAC-304 head unit because it has time-delay dsp. After living with it for a bit, I regret replacing my old Alpine CDA-9884 with the Kenwood. The time-delay didn't blow me away to begin with, but what infuriates me is the distance values will randomly change without having changed them. I then select "Reset DSP", only to find not all are at 0. Total TURD! Last time I buy anything on a recommendation. You hear that, HifiVega?

I'm trying to figure this all out because I also have fader and balance and volume control on each speaker. Do you set everything to zero before you do this? There's so many different factors. I don't know where to start

My Alpine passive crossovers have different modules you can insert to modify the time correction but I’ve noticed they are not suited to my newer vehicle I recently purchased.
Can I bypass this feature on the passive crossovers and just use the head unit time correction?

Hi is it possible to make the sweet spot possible for all passengers like a common point. Mine is ilx 509e with 3 way components in front and 2 way components in rear and a sub woofer in boot.
    Thanks in advance

Thx, for the video! I have two question. What should the time corrections be when sitting in a car with a passenger? Should I just use the center between me and the passenger as the sweet spot? And, the file has been deleted behind the link. Can you give us a new link to the Time Correction calculator?

    • @brendangood1052
      @brendangood1052 ปีที่แล้ว +1

You can only do time correction for 1 person or seat. Trying to split it dosn't work

@@brendangood1052 Thx for your reply, but in the Alpine manual they give two examples. Example 1. Listening Position: Front Left Seat and Example 2. Listening Position: All Seats. But the formula they are using looks the same. With Example 2 thy also tell you to measure from the drivers position. Have a look at page 35 in the manual: www.alpine-electronics.nl/fileadmin/user_upload/manuals//2021/iLX-705D_iLX-F905D_iLX-F115D_i905/OM_iLX-705D_iLX-F905D_iLX-F115D_i905_EN_ALL.pdf

Hey guys, if you want to do the math yourself, you can simply use the furthest speaker (typically subwoofer) and subtract the distance of the speaker you want to time align, from the distance of the sub. IE: if the sub is 60” away, and your drivers speaker is 20” away, you want to add 40” of delay to the drivers speaker. Continue for every speaker in the car. Hope this helps.

@@colinvargo3418 so if my driving position is on the right and the distance FR 100 cm and FL 160 cm how to input on my alpine cde 164BT? Just put the number? And how bout with the rear speaker?

If your able to update your software it should add the cm option.
My Alpine F-511 will update over a wifi connection, I just pull upto my home and connect to the wifi, and go to settings and update the software.

Change all the values to a point in the center of the car. You can play with location being parallel to you, or a little further forward around the dashboard.

That's the way I understood it.
But I've played around with time delay on my Alpine F-511 in my 2007 Tundra DC, and it definitely makes a difference on the impact of the subs.
