Los Angeles Lakers Defense: Broken Beyond Repair? ft. Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis, LeBron James

- The Lakers entered this season looking to get back to their 2019-2020 championship form, and adding a player of Russell Westbrook's caliber certainly had fans feeling good. But with Westbrook's shortcomings and large salary, the Lakers had to offload many of their good perimeter defenders in Alex Caruso and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. The result has been a bottom three defense in the league, too many one-way specialty players who only care about offense and an Anthony Davis that doesn't look comfortable playing center. The oldest roster in the league shows itself especially against opponents who have quick guards and athletic wings. Is this Lakers roster flawed beyond repair? Or can they find a lineup that works? Lets break it down.

@@TheKonnorMacShow I agree but Lebron putting up 30+ points a night and it still leads to Ls. We have too many undersized guards that we’re usings as wings and they can’t stop anyone. How do they really expect to play defense with Rondo, IT, and Westbrook playing at the same time?! Smh changes must be made regardless.
@@antonio7sunglao Yep the problem with Westbrook to me is that because he isn't a great defender, his salary eats up so much of the cap that they couldn't use it to sign maybe 2-3 players like Caruso or KCP or someone else that could hold their own defensively.
