    Great Video. I wasnt familiar with this effect in Serato and I love the way it works. Its nice when you see an effect that works the way you envisioned it should in your mind. I see so many great ways to incorporate it into a set.

      The Vci 380 it's pretty dope the only people that started having many problems with the platter because you can adjust it but after around the platter is hard it to get at adjust once is 3 or 4 months, many friends of mine they love the piece but after they had the problem, that's why I think they don't make it anymore

    great job from Rane team for the Serato soft. !
    Native Instrments do also lots of great jobs for the Traktor soft. !

    i have found the slice pretty useless, but it would make more sense if you used it within a loop like you did. kinda feel silly i didn't think of that b4. And that house to hip hop mix was sweet, very impressed

    • @tylrbass
      @tylrbass 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @palasako8732
      @palasako8732 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      trust me.. you dont want to do that. traktor is still years ahead of serato in terms of effects and mapability. I have serato hardware and i have it all mapped for use with traktor.. Plus don't forget that traktor has the remix decks and the sp6 sampler on serato is a lame excuse for a sampler.

    • @palasako8732
      @palasako8732 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @Psythik

      GreY tZu Probably just using the master cue through the headphone jack

    • @Psythik
      @Psythik 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +GreY tZu The audio is being sent digitally via USB. Windows/OSX treats the controller's audio interface just like any other USB sound card. All you have to do is use something like Audacity to record and set the controller as your recording source. No analog outputs required. I stream my mixes live and that's how I do it. If you look at the back of my NS7 II the only cables hooked up are power and USB. My controller shows up as "Numark NS7 II Audio" under Sound in the Control Panel, just like any other sound card.

    I don't understand what the purpose is of holding down the "silent slice button" while your doing the drum hits. Anyone know?

    • @jaredfox892
      @jaredfox892 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Zack Hutchinson Hard to explain... but Serato wont let you use the slice mode if the song isn't playing. If you don't have a silent part of the slice, then you will hear the song - Which will overlap the song playing on the other deck. --- So by having a silent part, you can still slice up a song, without using the cross fader to go back and forth between decks. Lol, sorry if this seems confusing. Hard to explain.

    • @funkdoc14
      @funkdoc14 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Actually, that explanation was perfect and after reading this and playing around a bit with the slicer, I know EXACTLY what u are saying. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
