- When we do a good deed, even if it is just giving someone a smile, greeting a stranger warmly, or running an errand for a sick friend, we ourselves feel good; we also feel good about ourselves. In the same way, if we hurt someone intentionally or unintentionally, we ourselves feel pain, whether we acknowledge it or not. Why is this so? This is because of the force of karma.
