It seems to me that it is in this scene that he begins to grasp the depth of the pain she has gone through because she feels that she abandoned him and was the first to leave his side when he needed someone to help build him up. She was to be his knight. We, the viewers can see in his body language: the look on his face and the tightening of his arms.
One of the best scenes …so moving.. and let’s commend the transition of both through physical aspect ,seeing the difference of what was once a slim college boy and a girly cute girl to young adults ..
